Highlights
- Odysseys Surf School - 1 instructor:1 person (no minimum age)
Learn how to stand up on a surfboard and ride it into the shore. An intro for beginners is conducted on the first 10-15 minutes of the first day before heading into the water and riding a wave.

Our surf school is located in the lobby area of Mercure Kuta Hotel which will give you the convenience and safety to park your vehicle, store your belongings and even clean yourself after beach activity.
- The surf schedule varies every day and has a fixed timing depending on the tide condition. Check our surf schedule on our website before booking.
- Please be informed that garbage on Kuta beach and Seminyak beach is common during the wet season (October to April) in Bali. The Indonesian government has mobilised local residents to clean the beach everyday, but please note you may see rubbish in the ocean when taking your lesson. Lessons still operate daily during this period as Kuta Beach is a great beach to learn all year round.
- No minimum age
- High season surcharge of IDR130.000/person is applicable (June 1st – September 30th & December 24th – January 5th)

Great Surf School - Great to see these guys still offering their superb service for all these years. Patience and good humour galore. Highly Recommended.
The crew are spot on and you'll appreciate the shower and chagerooms afterwards.

Surf it! - Absolutely great experience at a beautiful beach and with great surfing conditions for all levels of surfing. We had two different coaches, both were very helpful and lots of fun! Highly recommend booking in advance, as it gets fully booked very quickly. Tumbs up!

Great value for money - Booked a private instructor on the beach, he was very bad, after found great deal online from odyssey school. Front desk staff was great, thank you Ivan for your time after working hours. First 2 lessons were great. A lot of advice from guys always feel safe because its a lot of staff in the water and outside waching you. Thank you!!! Got my first wave in firs lesson , next lesson already had smaller board, improving every day !!!

Amazing experience with Odysseys! - This week my 2 sons (aged 9 and 11) and my husband enjoyed 5 private lessons over the course of two days. They had an amazing time!
The surf school is so well organised - it was really impressive and exceeded expectations. From arrival to ocean, everything is planned out and taken care of for you - from rashie vests, towels, locker, and bag for all your wet gear. The office staff are friendly and helpful and the surfing teachers are really kind, patient and extremely encouraging.
They are on hand with bottles of cold water during the break and carry all your boards back after the exhaustion of 2 hours in the surf! Once back there are shower facilities and change rooms. We purchased the photos taken from the lessons - which were really impressive and the boys were gifted with a cool t-shirt.
A fatanstic time was had and we’re really grateful. We have some amazing memories to take home.

Professional and fun! - We came as a couple for a semi-private lesson and the experience was professional and seamless from the start until finish. The facilities included rash tops, locker, towels, changing rooms, and showers.
Our instructor was Blake who was an all-round awesome guy! He was clearly knowledgeable about surfing and knew how to convey this to beginners in a professional and easy-going way. He was very patient with us and gave us constructive feedback on how to improve during the session.
We also had the option to buy candid photos taken during the session. We weren't aware that photos were going to be taken but we were glad that they did as the quality was great!
We would definitely go again.
