White water rafting - A wonderful experience from start to finish. I booked our rafting experience via WhatsApp using a Groupon voucher, the date and pick up time was promptly confirmed. On the day the driver was already in reception when we came down. He was polite and courteous and we immediately felt at ease. On the drive to the location, he told us about places of interest and genuinely engaged in conversation sharing his knowledge and experiences. Once we were arrived, we were given a welcome drink and promptly whisked away to get ready for our adventure. We were provided with a helmet and life jacket and given instructions on what to do. Heads up - there are 450 steps down to the water and it is tricky walking down and back up in thongs/flip-flops. As it had not rained, the water levels were a little low so our raft did get stuck on the rocks a few times but we were told to juggle on the raft to dislodge it - this was part of the adventure! We stopped at stone engravings for a photo and then again at a huge waterfall, followed by a drink stop (bring cash or pay upon return). It was busy on the river with lots of other rafting companies but our guide and other guides were jovial and kept us laughing all the way with their jokes and pranks. Upon returning we were given a towel and directed to shower facilities which were clean. We had a wonderful first rafting experience. Thank you 😃
