Uluwatu Temple and fire dance - We were picked up right on time from our hotel. Our driver took us to one of the local tea/coffee plantations where we were able to sample various different teas and coffees before taking us to uluwatu temple. We were warned about all the monkeys there, so glasses were removed as they tend to have a liking for sunglasses and will remove them from people’s heads. Following the temple tour we watched the sunset and then waited for allocated time for the Kecak fire dance. The fire dance has two sittings and is very popular so my advice to book ahead. Following completion of the evening our driver delivered us back to our hotel door.

Great tour at Uluwatu Temple - Great tour at Uluwatu temple with our guide Made Karyana. He provided lots of information about the site and the Balinese culture, he was very knowledgeable and professional. We had a great experience! Plus he was also a very good driver in the hectic Bali's traffic. Thank you Made!

Amazing would recommend! - Putu was absolutely fantastic! He took us around to all the best spots, shared local insights, and even protected us from the cheeky monkeys! His car was comfortable and well-kept, and he made sure we had bottled water throughout the day.
Putu helped us with photos, entry tickets (which would’ve been a nightmare without him), and even took care of parking—everything was seamless. At the end of the day, he kindly dropped us off at our dinner spot instead of the hotel, which was incredibly thoughtful.
We recommended him to everyone at our hotel, and they all had the same amazing experience. We’re happy to say Putu isn’t just a guide—he’s become a friend to both my wife and me. Highly recommend!

Uluwsatu temple and Balinesekecok and fire dance - Our tour guide /driver, Gusti Arya, met us at our hotel lobby at 2 p.m.
On our way, it started to rain, and traffic was slow.
By the time we arrived at the temple, the weather cleared up, and we were able to tour the temple.
Arya gave us a few cautions and how to protect our belongings around monkeys.
The temple area sits high on top of the cliff and offers a beautiful view of the ocean.
There were monkeys everywhere, perched on top of the cliff wall and in the bushes.
One of the monkeys snatched my wife's eyeglasses, and one other grabbed my hat off of my head. Thanks to a person working in the temple, we were able to get our items back.
Arya made sure we got into the performance arena early enough to get a good seat.
It started to rain heavily before the show started, and it was all fun to watch as the colorful raincoats were passed out.
The kecok and fire dance performance were unique and enjoyable.
Overall, we had a wonderful evening.
Mr. Gusti Arya is an excellent tour guide, speaks good English, is a cautious driver, and is a polite individual.

Great Temple Experience and Interesting Show - My partner and I booked this tour since we wanted to visit the uluwatu temple at sunset and see the show in the dark. We were punctually picked up by our guide Nyoman nata at our hotel and then taken to the Uluwatu temple. The trip took some time because of all the traffic. This is something you should be aware of if you decide to go here. The temple at sunset on the cliff is a great view!
Originally, we considered just taking a grab and going to the temple and the show on our own. However, looking back at the trip, I truly recommend this tour with a guide because he protects you from the monkeys, who live by the temple, and gives you some details on the significance of the temple itself.
We were very grateful that Nyoman Nata warned us from the monkeys. On the one side they are interesting to see but on the other side they are mischievous thieves that you have to watch our for. We saw 3 people's phones get stolen and countless people loose their glasses. Luckily for us, we had been warned!
The show itself is interesting and an unique experience. Do not expect a fire show but more a chant with a play. Due to the large crowd (>1000 people per show), we had to wait some time to get in. As already mentioned in other reviews, the paper printout describing the story is very useful. Otherwise you have little clue on what's going on.
The reason we are giving 4 out of 5 is simply because of the long drive with the traffic. Our driver was excellent though. Plan more than 1 hour to get there. Depending on where you are staying this can be even longer.

It was interesting - We had a great and very nice Guide. But the temple was very crowded and full of Monkeys. We had to be there very early, because our guide had to buy the tickets for the dance there. There are no online tickets for the dance. But we've been a bit to late so we only got tickets for the second Kecak Show and had to wait for about two hours.
The Dance was very interesting to see.

OK only if you don't mind rude, pushing crowds of people! - The temple and Kecak dance are both interesting, but the 1 1/2 hr drive each way, along with 1400 people (some groups pushing and shoving to try to cut the line, and then bring 10 family members along with!) made it worth avoiding for me. I personally thought the Ubud Kecak Dance was better. The monkeys were entertaining!
