• Bent Pyramid - The Bent Pyramid is an ancient Egyptian structure situated at the royal necropolis of Dahshur, about 40 kilometers (25 miles) south of Cairo, constructed during the reign of the Old Kingdom Pharaoh Sneferu (circa 2600 BC). The Bent Pyramid emerges from the desert with a 54-degree angle, but its upper section (above 47 meters [154 feet]) is constructed at a gentler angle of 43 degrees, giving the pyramid its characteristic “bent” appearance.
