Highlights
- Bacalar Lagoon - During this experience you will be able to enjoy breakfast at dawn with the peace and calm that characterizes Bacalar aboard a Sailboat. You will have time to swim twice. Don’t forget your swimsuit!
We will leave for Bird Island, known as the Bird Sanctuary. With their song, we will wait for the sunrise and there we will appreciate this unique spectacle that surprises us every day.
We head to the Pirates Channel, where we will offer you a delicious breakfast full of energy to start the day! You can enjoy coffee, fruit and sweet cakes to accompany this magical moment.
We continue the tour to visit the Cenote Negro and observe the contrast of going from a shallow depth to about 100 meters from one moment to the next. This cenote is surprising for its magic and history.
We begin our return to Casa Arabe, where we will end our tour sailing the Cenote Esmeralda.

We will meet at the Amura pier restaurant, Wild Wave Bacalar marina. Schedule to be coordinated depending on the time of year, since the time of sunrise varies. The captain will contact you the night before to coordinate it.

Like Sailing with Friends! - We did this tour our first morning in Bacalar and it was so magical to see the lagoon come to life as the sun rose. We arrived in Bacalar late the evening before, so our first glimpse of the lagoon was from the boat!
Leandro and Cami, the sailing crew, were such lovely people! They were friendly, warm and lovely! We felt like we were hanging out with two friends (it was just my husband, me, Cami and Lean!). They were passionate about conserving this jewel of a place and gave us so many ideas for the rest of our trip.
We had coffee and breakfast at Bird Island, then went to the black cenote, then swam at the Canal de Pirates. It was WONDERFUL!
Quick PSA for future tourists: the lagoon ecosystem is disrupted by ANY sunscreen (even reef safe) so bring some UPF clothes with you to protect your skin. We did not get burned this early in the day so it was great. Do your part to keep the ecosystem, color and clarity of the water healthy :)

Super romantic walk - Excellent walk… Leandro and María very friendly and helpful, they took us to super beautiful places in the lagoon… incredible experience, the fruit and tea they prepared for us were very delicious… the spot they chose to see the sunrise was very nice

Start the day nice! - We enjoyed the ride from the moment we got on the sailboat. The captain and sailor were super attentive explaining each point of the lagoon. The tour is beautiful, we were able to see the sunrise and appreciate the 7 colors of the lagoon. They also prepared fresh fruit and delicious coffee for us. It was an unforgettable morning.

The best tour! - We went on the sunrise tour with our one year old son. It was the highlight of our trip so far! Leandro and Maria were so friendly and helpful. We had a lovely breakfast watching the sunrise - the cake was amazing! We swam in shallow waters which suited our one year old. Don't miss out on this tour!!

The best tour of Bacalar - We took the breakfast tour with Irving and Zazil this morning. It was incredible! The boat was beautiful and comfortable and it was calm, super calm! Our guides were great, they prepared a delicious breakfast for us and made sure everything was perfect at all times, a 10!
