Amazing time!! Absolutely stunning views. - The trip was absolutely beautiful and amazing. Trouble finding the meeting point but bedsides that it was perfect. Highly recommend. Tacos were great. Ordered fries and rinks as well, all very good. The pineapple was the absolute sweetest and best we have ever had. Service from everyone was wonderful. Very kind and lots of laughter. Jocelyne and Abil were great! I hope I got their names correct. Thank you for wonderful time and getting us back to ship on time.

Great outing!! - It was a great tour because of our driver Akino and our fantastic guide Jocelyn who was so sweet and funny and accommodating. We were 9 people on the bus. Before trip, I was sent an exact map of where to meet but my phone showed from the ship to location was a 1.2 mile walk through the very busy port. We ran late, Jocelyn waited for us and communicated with us well! Such a nice day!!

Stunning waters - The water will amaze you! Absolutely beautiful and so worth the money and time! It’s about 1.5 hrs drive to and from the port. Make sure you take reef safe sunscreen

Amazing experience! - This was an excellent excursion for our big family (2 adults 4 kids ranging from 8-16). We travelled in a nice van with a fantastic guide and we arrived at the lagoon and boarded a well maintained boat driven by a boat captain who drive us all around the lagoon. Our guide was with us and she explained so many interesting facts and information! We had two swimming stops in the gorgeous blue water. We wore life jackets while on the boat but swam without them. After the lagoon we were taken to a local taco shop and had a delicious lunch off the beaten path, which was a highlight. The entire team was so kind, hospitable, made sure we were comfortable and having a great time. The tour communicated well ahead of time. It was a really amazing experience. If you’re willing to spend a little time driving to the lagoon, this excursion is so worth it! One of the most gorgeous places on the planet, led by a fantastic group of local people.

Samouri was amazing tour guide and definitely will come back. Places we say were amazing and breathtaking and definitely - Somauri was amazing young lady and the sites we saw was beautiful the culture was amazing and the food was delicious definitely a must do

Maybe the most beautiful place I've ever been - This trip is the first thing I tell my friends about when I share about our cruise. The Lagoon itself is amazing! I've never experienced anything as beautiful as this place. The bus ride was about an hour and a half each way from Costa Maya. It felt safe and well organized. The guides did a great job of sharing the ecological and social side of the Lagoon in the community. They did a good job of engaging us while also giving space. Our boat has some miles on it, but it always felt safe and did the job. They organized stops at key locations to really experience different parts of Lagoon. The food provided was really great, I never eaten pineapple off a life preserver before. The local restaurant where we stopped for tacos was a hidden gem. I keep thinking that I want to go back and just stay for a couple of days to experience Bacalar at all slower pace, for a longer interval. I'm sold.

Spoke to someone regarding refund. By the evening I had a message that the money was being processed to my account. Much faster than the cruise ship

A wonderful experience - First of all, I suggest doing this excursion. Not just for the excursion but to help the people involved. After a bumpy start finding the location, we were on our way. The ride to the destination is long but allow the guide to explain what you are witnessing. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and accommodating. She offered us beverages of our choice to make our ride more enjoyable. I hate I don’t remember her name but although she is young, she knew her stuff. Have patience with allowing her to translate to English. Spanish is her first language. The driver was also very good. Once we arrived, there was a changing station for my wife and a storefront right along the docking station. From there, we met another guide for the tour of the lake. Wow - the lake is gorgeous and hard to believe that it’s a lake. He tried showing us a crocodile but it wasn’t out this day. The lake had many shades of colors, which signified water depth. After taking a tour and getting the history of the lake, we docked on the water near a bird sanctuary, which was an island in the middle of the lake. We were able to get out the boat and swim in water about 2-3 feet deep, which was crystal clear. The boat tour guide cut up fresh watermelon, cantaloupe, and pineapple. The pineapple was purchased along the road side on our way up by our driver. They were 3 for a dollar. Why this is important is to again explain why it is important to support the locals. What was also special is that our driver knew who to purchase the pineapple from. It was the best pineapple I have ever had! After the swim, we headed back, where I tour guide took our order for lunch. We ordered the beef tacos and they were delicious - yum. We headed back and I took a nap after a full day. Please tip them well for the experience and they will appreciate your generosity. Enjoy.

Great excursion to Bacalar - Well organized, guide very friendly, informative, comfortable van transportation, beautiful boat ride. Enjoyed the fresh pineapple and mango on the boat. We were offered many beverages throughout the trip, water, coke, beer, tequila, and cucumber lemon juice. We enjoyed the restaurant meal. Arrived back to the port on time. I highly recommend this excursion.
