A wonderful experience - This is a great way to spend a morning. Octavio our guide was very knowledgeable, and happy to answer all our questions. The temple area is fascinating. We enjoyed the fresh pineapple and dried plantains and drinks he provided, which were available any time. Our driver was friendly and drove safely. A small group (7 plus Octavio) is a very good way to enjoy this site.

Not just the ruins, Costa Maya culture/ - Excellent tour, Rafael was awesome! Very informative and friendly, provided bottled water, highly recommend!! Stopped at a local food stand for lunch, homemade empanadas and tacos, and a fruit stand for complementary pineapple and mango tasting. We enjoyed the tour very much.

Excursion to the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins - Problem! Our tour scheduled to begin at 8:45am, however our group was held up until 10:00am, because passengers from another ship had also booked a tour. This Viator meeting spot slightly difficult to find, as it is outside and beyond the Security perimeter. We arrived early, but the waiting more than an hour for someone who may or may not be coming was very stressful especially considering the limited time guests have in Port. Once the passenger van was loaded with all the guests, the excursion itself was enjoyable. The drive to the Mayan Ruins at Chacchoben took more than 90 minutes. The tour operator kept everybody’s attention with conversation. Walking around the Mayan Ruins with our Guide was truly outstanding. Our knowledgeable guide gave great explanations for all our questions. This excursion was a chance to visit the Mayan Ruins at Chacchoben and it was certainly worth it. I would do it again, for sure.

Patience will be rewarded with an amazing trip - Be ready to go through the port area and exit. Once outside the port area you still have a walk at the end of the walk you will be met by someone from the company. Once that happens the adventure begins. I loved every minute of it. Great driver and great guides. The overall experience was fantastic and genuine. Our tour guide had us stop at a small local vendor to get some of the best pineapple I’ve ever had in my life! I enjoyed being able to speak with the guides and the locals at the fruit stand. Small group was a plus for a more personalized experience. So patience at the beginning will be worth a great trip.

Great trip but disappointed about return of Apple Watch - We were on a cruise and did a tour with Tours Naturaleza Bacalar to the Chacchoben Ruins with Selena. While driving out to the ruins she gave us lots of local information/history and even taught us some Mayan words. When we got out to the ruins Carlos joined us and between the both of them we had an excellent tour of the ruins. Very educational and really well presented. After we finished we went to a little town I will remember as pineapple town and Selena treated us to locally made empanadas and a sampler of pineapple. She is a super friendly person and seems to know so many. We stopped at the coast and she took pictures of us and took us to one of her favorite beaches. The only bad thing that happened is my apple watch fell off in their van and they have been promising to return it and it still has not been. I have no way to delete it from my system until I have the apple watch back. They’ve had it since the middle of December and it’s still has not been returned in the second week of January. I’m a little disappointed.

The tour I bought is not the one we received - I asked for a tour in Spanish and 90 in English. Allegedly there were fruits, water and beer... there was no beer and the fruits were Pina on the street, the unsanitary place and the person who broke the pineapple without the minimum knowledge of food handling

Do not trust guide for after tour reccomandations - The trip is average. Do not trust the tour guid for after activities. We were reccomanded a club with a lot of good food, music, internet and nice sand beach. Nothing was true and prices higher than everywhere in the world.

Bad operator - It was listed on the Viator without starting time. I have spent hours to get starting time. It was 9:40am. I was there with my better half at 9:30 am and they already left without me. I demand a 100% refund.
