Exceptionally awesome Paronella Park afternoon/evening tour. - “Man” our tour guide/driver provided a safe, highly informative and fun experience. His daughter, “H” came along with us. Both made us feel like family and we had a wonderful time. We highly recommend this tour with Mr. Man!

Unique tropical tour - a unique experience! . Simon was a safe driver and competent guide. He knows everything about the flora, fauna and history of the attraction and it's worth asking him questions. The tour is of the right length, incredibly varied and shows the unique beauty of the region Swimming aswell in a wonderful lake as in the ocean was really refreshing. My 7 year old daughter enjoyed it as much as I did. The night tour km Paronella Park was the highlight of our entire vacation. We also saw two casowaries - just incredible!

The best tourguide yet! - I cannot recommend Simon and his tours more. Not only was he incredibly kind, he also had amazing social and communication skills. He was smiley, entertaining, highly knowledgeable and incredibly passionate. I went into this tour with some, though limited knowledge on Paronella, I left with massive amounts of insight and new perspectives. His hospitality was delicious and was timed perfectly throughout the tour. He picked us up out the front of our hotel, and the best thing was that it was a small group (intentionally) which really allowed everyone to learn each other's names and get to know each other. I cannot recommend Simon enough. I will definitely be returning to do more of his tours in the future. Thank you Simon for an extraordinary day!

Passionate and personal your guide - Simon was very passionate about sharing his knowledge of Paronella Park. He is an informative guide who has a deep understanding of the FNQ area and all things Paronella Park. We were lucky enough to spot a cassowary and a baby croc swimming at the beach. I would describe Tropic Tours as boutique, small group and personal. 10/10 recommend to travel with Tropic Tours 🙌.

Loved the insider information you'll get no-where else! - We were on Simon's Paronella Park Experience tour with just one other couple which made for a wonderful and personal experience. Simon picked us up promptly at 11am from our resort. The small and comfortable bus was perfect for the 4 of us, though us and the other couple booked individually and not for the 'exclusive' up to 4 people tour which he's now offering. We were just very lucky that we were the only 4 booked that day. Even with up to 11, it'd still be perfect. We paid $227 pp, which included afternoon tea at Etty Bay, dinner and all entry fees. Have a late breakfast or bring a sandwich for lunch. It's a full but relaxing day and we loved all the information Simon gave us, especially his family's association to Jose Paronella. Simon's very knowledgeable about the whole area. He talks, but doesn't 'ramble on' which some guides can do. Everything he had to say was interesting and relevant to what we saw. We had been to Paronella Park many years ago and were keen to return, but as we were driving, we didn't want to stay to see it at night as it's roughly a hour back to Cairns. With this tour, you have plenty of time to see the Park in the daytime, then after a delicious dinner at the nearly pub, you'll see the Park again for the evening show, and then Simon will drive you back to your accommodation. We arrived roughly at 9pm. We didn't swim at Babinda Boulders, instead choosing to walk with Simon to the Devils Pool where he'll explain why it's so deadly to swim in the pool. A wonderful and memorable day, and we thank Simon for making it so perfect.

Just the greatest - My husband and I did the Paronella Park tour with Simon and what a great experience it was - one of the best tours we have ever done anywhere. We were picked up at our hotel at 11am - a comfortable start time! - and driven south in a small van to the Babinda Boulders where we had a lovely walk to see the boulders, then on through the countryside to Etsy Bay where we were served afternoon tea with homemade cake, cooked by Simon himself. Arriving at Paronella Park we were given a talk on the history of the park and a conducted tour of the main sights, then had time to wander through the gardens on our own. Back into the van and off to the Mena Creek Hotel for dinner (preordered) on the verandah and then back to the park for the evening sound and light show, before arriving back at our hotel about 9pm. I was fascinated to hear of Simon’s family connections to the Park - made the tour so much more personal and interesting. We would certainly recommend Tropic Tours and this particular tour as you get to see the park in daylight and the evening lights as well, plus the added interest of Simon’s commentary throughout the day.

Paronella Park and so much more - We recently undertook the Paronella Experience tour with driver/guide Simon. The tour was comprehensive with a visit to the Babinda boulders and afternoon tea at Etty Beach where we were privileged to see two cassowaries. We visited Paronella Park for an afternoon guided tour, then dined at the Mena Creek Hotel for dinner. We returned to Paronella Park in the evening for the light tour. Simon's commentary was so interesting, with many insights into the history of the places visited. I would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to combine the day and night tours at Paronella Park and to get the opportunity to see cassowaries in the wild is so special.
