Terrific Trout and Talented Guide - Dave was an amazing guide from the very beginning. He called to confirm the trip, checked the weather, and scouted the river before we went out to ensure we caught fish. And did we ever catch fish. He was a patient teacher explaining each step, and if you follow his guidance, you will be very successful. He is also a great talker, knows lots about football and Colorado. Great personality, knows lots of stuff, and really loves fishing. Pictures he took came out amazing, and he had lots of suggestions for great places to eat after our trip. He is worth every penny, especially if you are like my husband and I, who have never done fly fishing before.

Go Fish! - Our guide Dave was fantastic. He provided all the equipment and had back up sizes for shoes and waders, he took time to instruct us (we were first timers), was engaged and helpful during the fishing and took lots of photos. We went on this trip to enjoy the outdoors with no expectations of catching fish (it is hit or miss) but lucked out and caught (and then released) several trout. Dave will customize your trip for beginners through experts. I highly recommend this tour.

Don’t bother…awful experience! - I’m sorry to have to write this review. However , my Son caught one tiny brown trout and we didn’t even get a picture of the fish because it jumped out of his hands before the guide could take a picture. I didn’t catch anything and we kept getting hung up on the bottom. The trip was booked as a 1/2 day float ($577 w/tax) and we were on the Colorado River (Rancho del Rio drop-in) for approx. 3 hours. The guide (Tim) got angry when my Son dropped his rod while going through the rapids because he got hung up. He didn’t offer my Son another rig to continue fishing. I paid the guide $200 to buy himself another rod/reel. I did not feel like he deserved much more as he ruined our experience and told us that the rod my Son dropped had sentimental value as it was his first rod/reel to catch trout here. He said that he bought it 5-years ago for $150. I will NOT be coming back to this company and will NOT recommend to any of my friends or family.
