Anniversary - Came to celebrate our Anniversary. This was a perfect day. I would definitely recommend. We rented a golf cart to be sure to maximize our time. We loved it!

Great experience! - We have been to the island 3 times previously as part of a cruise and we usually just walk around the shopping area. This time we decided to book the tour to learn more about the island. We had a great time, learned a lot and enjoyed our tour guide. We are so glad we finally took the time to take an official tour and have a better understanding of the island and the history. We also were happy with the 1 hour length, which gave us plenty of time to still shop and eat lunch before needing to board the ship.

Fantastic Catalina Island Tour with Cindy Lowe - I highly recommend the Catalina Island tour with the Catalina Island Company. Our guide, Cindy Lowe, was both funny and knowledgeable, sharing local secrets and insights that made our experience special. Her passion for the island and eagerness to answer questions really stood out. It’s a must-do for a deeper understanding of Catalina Island.

Relaxing Visit to Catalina Island - After the hustle and bustle of a few LA days it was an amazingly relaxing hour long boat ride to Catalina Island. The crew of the Catalina Express was warm and friendly. I would recommend the Commodore upgrade for at least one way with its nice viewing vantage point on the upper deck. The town of Avalon was lovely and very walkable. We were going to rent a golf cart, which is the usual mode of transport, to tour around but there was a cruise ship in port which passengers end up renting them all. I would recommend scoping that out and organizing your visit around cruise ship visits if you prefer a more peaceful atmosphere. That said no issues finding choices of restaurants to eat at.

Heights - Great tour, but do NOT BOOK if you're afraid of heights!!! Wish I was able to enjoy it more but being right next to cliffs with no railing scared me. When I thought we weren't going to go higher we did.

Avalon 1 hour tour - The 1 hour was the perfect amount of time for the tour. The driver was knowledgeable and fun. Finding the pickup point was a little difficult. It is a plaza in the middle of town.

Awful - The driver was rude- first told me I had screwed up because I was supposed to have a paper ticket. I showed him the ticket I had in my Wallet, so then he said Viator screwed up. I was incensed with how he handled this (he could see on his manifest that we were scheduled and had paid)…plus we were the only 2 people on the bus!! I would never, ever recommend this tour. I had read the reviews and thought the driver would be funny and engaging…NOT SO - he was boring!! I fell asleep. His voice was completely monotone. This guy shd not be in a job like this!!
