   Participants are encouraged to touch the ring and get a sense of a sumo wrestler’s size. We will also assess your sumo knowledge.
2. Wrap the Sumo Belt (Mawashi)
3. Prepare the Ring
4. Explain Sumo Rules
5. Shiko (Leg Stamping) - the fundamental sumo movement
6. Koshiwari (Sumo Squat)
7. Gymnastics (Injury Prevention)
8. Suriashi (Footwork Practice)
9. Teppo (Pushing Practice)
10. Butsukari (Charging Practice)
11. Sumo Matches!! (As many as you like!)

～After the Sumo Experience～

1. Commemorative Photos, etc.

【Attire】
During the sumo experience, participants will wear a “mawashi” (sumo belt). For comfort, it is recommended to wear sports leggings or similar attire underneath. T-shirts are optional, so feel free to wear one if preferred! For female participants, comfortable and easy-to-move-in clothing is suggested under the mawashi.

Our Authentic Sumo Experience is crafted by Takeshi Amitani, the Sumo Director of Netflix’s “Sanctuary.” This experience allows participants to engage in genuine sumo wrestling on an authentic sumo ring, donning a traditional sumo mawashi, alongside real sumo wrestlers. Enjoy a unique “Budo” martial arts sports class in Tokyo, Japan!

Everyone is welcome to participate. We warmly welcome beginners, individuals of all genders, children, members of the LGBT+ community, Muslims, and many others.

• 【Rules during the Sumo Experience】 ・Please follow the instructions during the lesson. ・Lesson times may vary slightly. Please come with plenty of time to spare. ・Pants will be provided for those who need them. ・Shower facilities are available at 100 yen per 5 minutes. ・Please bring a towel and change of clothes. ・Please remove your glasses or replace them with contact lenses. ・We are not responsible for any loss or damage.
• 【Photographs and Videos Rules during the Sumo Experience】 ・You are most welcome to take photographs and videos share them on social media during your sumo experience with us, provided that you observe the following guidelines: (1) Do not film in a way that interferes with the sumo experience for other participants, including observers. (2) We would kindly ask that you refrain from filming any participants who have not given their permission to be recorded. (3) Do not film people who are not allowed to film, as specified by us.
• 【Children’s Participation】 ・Children under 4 years of age are welcome to accompany you; however, they may only observe the session. ・For children aged 5 and older, observation is complimentary. Should they wish to participate, please place an order for each child who will be taking part.
• 【Injuries and Accidents】 We will do our best to prevent injuries and accidents during the Sumo Experience. (it has not happened in the past) If an injury or accident unfortunately occur during the instruction or use of the facilities during the Sumo Experience, the maximum amount of compensation we have responsibility for damages is the amount paid by you for the injury or accident. However, this excludes cases of intentional or gross negligence on the part of us.
