Experience I would repeat - It is worth doing this activity, it was a lot of fun for me and my 10-year-old son. The lake is very quiet and safe. The guide knew a lot about the city. I recommend it 100%

Lives up to its promises! - The tour guide arrived on time with the kayaks. My husband of 85 years of age had disappeared. So I was sort of worrying about where he might be in the hundred degree heat. He didn’t have his phone on him so I couldn’t call or text him. I wasn’t sure if we should leave without him. so that was on my mind for a while. We kayaked to a couple of bridges. The guide told us about the city. Which was really pretty unnecessary since I’ve been coming to Austin for 70+ years. And my grandsons live in Austin and know everything he said. But it’s a tour for tourists from all places. I would say the tour was perfect, but I would’ve preferred just to Rent kayaks somewhere for 2 hours and not tour. The guide was perfect in every way.

Interesting Austin info while paddling along - Kayaks were all set up and ready to go when we arrived. We got out quickly and got a great history of the lake. Then we paddled along the skyline and more great info about the buildings and growth of Austin. We saw the bat Bridge and could hear them as well (we already saw them fly out at sunset from foot another day). We were running ahead of schedule so got to paddle a bit further along before heading back.
