Intriguing Story Teller - Tiffany is a very engaging story teller. She knows her Austin history and delivers it in a delightful manner.

Great first night idea - Guide was really informative and kind; the bars along the way were great. Perfect for our first night here.

A fun way to explore Austin watering holes at night - This was a fun way to explore the city, check out a few different watering holes, see some sights at night, and hear some interesting stories. I won't say this was the most amazing tour we have been on, but for the price it was still a good value and fun to do. Drinks are optional, which is nice, and for the most part enough time was given to order and drink at each stop. Our guide was solid and we enjoyed having him lead us on this evening escapade.

The way Cameron told the... - The way Cameron told the stories was very engaging. I very much wish we could have gone upstairs at the driskill to see the mirrors tho. But I would certainly tell others that it’s a great time.

Fun but not scary - We had a great time and the host was great! We loved the area and went to some places we wouldn’t have ordinarily gone to.

The stories were great. ... - The stories were great. We had 2 guides. Tiffany was entertaining and did great story telling. The other woman seemed to ramble alot. I think she may have been new and just needed some more practice on how to tell the story without rambling on.

Lackluster, Disjointed and Confusing - Our guide was unsure of the stories, which were lackluster and nonsensical. The first painting discussed was supposed to be of Catherine who lived in the Moonshine building in the late 1800s. However, when the painting was revealed, it depicted a very modern lady holding a drink wearing a sparkling one strap, sleeveless dress... not historically accurate. Additionally, the historical plaque about the family spelled Catherine with a "C". The guide pointed out her "initials" engraved in the wall were "KH". No explanation given. The guide often referred to Google to look up parts of stories that were forgotten. We did like a couple of the photo ops but overall the experience was mostly disappointing, confusing and disjointed.

Would not recommend with our guide - We thought with reading the reviews that it would be a good experience and it was everything short of that. I wish we could get our money back. We knew within a few minutes what we could expect. Our guide Brett showed up late, despite everyone arriving 15 minutes early. She asked if anyone went in to get a drink yet, but the tour hadn’t started and we were waiting for our guide to arrive with direction so why would we go in and get a drink? She said we could move on or get a drink so the group decided to try and get a drink before leaving the bar. She went in, said she checked it out, and said we could head back to the patio. For some reason we were leading ourselves back to the patio. When we got there, it was jam packed. No one got a drink. We all turned around and walked out. That was just the start of it. She was hard to follow and seemed disorganized. She wasn’t good at engaging or keeping us engaged. We went to bars that had nothing to do with anything haunted, bars that were loud with a band playing. She disappeared multiple times and for about 15 minutes while we were in the one bar. Not surprising there were couples that dropped out along the way. The only reason we didn’t drop out is because we enjoyed the others in the group. We have done tours like this in the past that were fun and we felt like we learned a lot. I can not say the same about this. It was a huge let down.

BRETT the your guide is terrible - I want to start out by saying that I LOVE ghost tours! I have done them in every city I have ever been to. Pensacola, New Orleans, key West, Savannah, Seattle, etc! However, our tour last night (3/26/24 @ 8pm) was the worst experience I've ever had on ANY tour in my life! I wanted to love this but instead your tour guide Brett wasted my time and my money and I deserve to get those back. FIRST: Brett shows up late for our tour after we're all told to be there early, sitting outside in the cold. She's mumbling / complaining about not being able to find her car keys however she's hardly coherent. She's stumbling over her words, her eyes are only 1/2 open, she won't make eye contact and is staring at the ground she's very clearly disoriented and intoxicated. All the guests were looking at each other, very concerned and confused by her odd behavior. She goes on and tried to tell us some things about the building and a flood? But we can't hear or understand her based on how she slurs, and speaks to the ground on top of that she can't even manage to form a coherent sentence. She keeps bouncing around trying to tell us things about Austin but can't put together a lucid sentence. She then asks us "do you want to get a drink here (at moonshiners)?" We all look confused as SHE'S SUPPOSED TO BE LEADING THIS GHOST PUB CRAWL! Isn't she supposed to tell us where we are stopping for drinks? She offers to go inside and "check it out" then ushers us downstairs. Our group of 14 gets down there and it's slammed packed, there's no way we're getting a drink down there much less a seat. It's insanely loud and no way she can tell us anything, she tells us to leave. STOP 2: Brush Square (O. Henry Museum) I actually had to Google the name of this place because she was so out of it that she couldn't tell us about it in an intelligible way. This location was quiet and still no one could hear her as she spoke at the ground with her head down. She did not look at or engage us all at. She was rocking her body in a very unsettling way. She looked as if she was high on opioids, this is a common symptom of opioid use. I did not hear a single story about ghosts at this location nor did I learn any history at all. This is where our group of 14 dropped to 12. STOP 3: The Westin rooftop bar. She gets us to the Westin and tells us "this place was built in 2016 so it's not haunted but I'm going to tell you about a serial killer". We get over priced drinks while we freeze on the rooftop. Then she takes us into the lobby and kinda tells us about a serial killer? She doesn't tell us about the murders at all, just said that he was a "big black guy with 4 toes" no mention of how many victims. She tries to tell us some dates but can't keep them straight. And eventually just gives up. This is where 4 more people drop off the tour. STOP 4: Friends. We are in friends for 40 minutes!? For 30 of those she's in the bathroom. I can clearly see her clothing and purse are scattered about the floor in the bathroom stall and she's riffling through her things making some strange sounds. As a person who's seen opioid addiction first hand, I believe she was using oxycodone, or heroin. She then sits there and asks us if we're ready to go. She told us no ghost stories here either. This is where we lost most of the group. STOP 5: The driskill Once again at the bottom of the stairs she struggles through trying to put together a murder story but she can't pull it together. She then hands out some gross index cards asking for tips then abruptly left without ever finishing a story. Our group was the only one left and only stayed because this was like a train wreck and we couldn't look away. All in all, we're highly upset and disappointed. I chose this company because I thought you'd provide a great experience but with Brett that's impossible. I could have googled these places on my own and actually learned something for FREE.
