• Ellora Caves - Ellora Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, showcase the major religions of Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism. The site features 34 monasteries and temples representing these three religions. Please note, Ellora Caves are closed on Tuesdays.
• Bibi Ka Maqbara - This is the resting place of Aurangzeb’s first wife, Rabia-ud-Durrani. It is a replica of the Taj Mahal in Agra, often referred to as the ‘poor man’s Taj Mahal’ due to its less grandiose design. Behind the mausoleum, there is a small archaeological museum. This monument was constructed by Emperor Aurangzeb’s son in 1679 AD in honor of his mother, Rabia.
• Aurangabad Caves - These are man-made caves carved from soft rock during the 6th and 7th centuries. They are located in two separate areas, known as the Western Group Caves (caves 1-5) and the Eastern Group Caves (caves 6-10), approximately 1 km apart. Each group contains five caves, with architecture and iconography influenced by Tantric Hinduism.
