First time in NZ - Punctual arrival at the hotel. Amazingly friendly and kind driver and tour guide in one, thanks again John! Snacks and water are provided along the way. Comfortable and clean bus with phone charging facility. Fantastic programs, gave an unforgettable experience. I especially liked that we got to know the countries of our travel companions during the tour, that made it really personal. If I visit New Zealand again I will definitely plan another tour with them. Reliable and kind team!

Hobbits and volcanos - It was an awesome trip and Greg the tour guild was great! He was very helpful, informative and made the trip extra fun. I wish he was our guild for all our trips.

Excellent - What a fantastic trip! Pickup was on time right at our hotel. Hobbiton was such a great time (enjoyed it WAY more than I thought I would.) The thermal springs was definitely a must see!!! Transport was comfortable and our tour guide was great!! So knowledgeable about the history of New Zealand and super nice! Overall very organized and a great experience. Definitely recommend this day trip!

A trip to adventure land. - Our guide & chauffeur for the trip did an amazing job.....we enjoyed thoroughly and very happy with the trip....Some fun elements he added from time to time energised us rather than falling asleep...He also briefed us about each and every place we crossed and most importantly his accent was clear and understa dable.Thank you!

A good day for an outing - The Cheeky Kiwi Tour was a lot of fun. Our tour guide was entertaining, shared fun factoids about New Zealand and other countries, and managed the difficult task of getting a bunch of strangers to become friends by the end of the day. Really enjoyed the Hobbiton experience, Wai-o-Tapu at a brisk pace, and getting a glimpse of Rotorua. Cheeky Kiwi has a diverse tour offerings for all ages and interests. Highly recommend to other visitors.

Wonderful tour of Hobbiton and Rotorua - Great tour! My parents and I did the tour including Hobbiton, Rotorua, and Wai-o-Tapu. Our driver Cam was very friendly and knowledgeable.
It's a very long day – around 13 hours total due to travel time and multiple drop offs / pick ups. But it's well worth it, especially if you like LOTR or The Hobbit. The movie set is quite breathtaking.
The tour group stays together in Hobbiton, but once we get to Rotorua we split into smaller subgroups going to Te Puia and Wai-o-Tapu. The subgroup going to Te Puia gets more time to explore than the subgroup going to Wai-o-Tapu, so keep that in mind if you like to maximize the amount of time you're actively sightseeing. If I had known that I'd have more time to explore Te Puia, I would have booked that tour rather than Wai-o-Tapu.
They add a quick rest stop in Pōkeno on the way back. There only are portable toilets available which aren't well maintained, and the shop gets too crowded pretty easily. There's also construction that blocks the main road, so the van has to stop a bit further back and you have to walk a few blocks to get anywhere.
Overall, a great experience! I highly recommend it. 👌

Nice Place to visit - Tour was nice.
Driver cum Guide was nice person and human being at heart and behavior.
Wai O Tapu should be given little more time for aged person like me.
However bus was too crowded and one of the seat was broken.

Trip cancelled less that 24 hours - Well we didn’t actually do the tour because it was cancelled less than 24 hours before should have gone . They had left a phone message on the Sunday at 9.40 am but our signal was poor so did not pick up till 6.30am on the morning of the tour after waiting 50mins outside our hotel. The excuse was vehicle problems. Surely as a company they should have a contingency plan for this event. The lady on the phone was apologetic and tried to offer other dates which were not convenient. The frustration is that this trip had been booked July 23 and our holiday had been planned around this tour. There is plenty in their terms and conditions about complying to their rules, but nothing about compensation if they cancel less than 24 hours before departure. If we had known early we may had been able to rebook through another company. I would like to suggest that you get contact details of the hotel or home from your customers. You could then leave a message with them to cover issues such as poor phone coverage. Really dissatisfied and disappointed.
