- Hobbiton Movie Set - Arriving at ‘Hobbiton’ you will board one of the big green Hobbiton buses for a two hour fully guided tour of this amazing 12 acre movie set with a professional Hobbiton guide to ensure you get the most out of your visit. During your tour step into the lush pastures of the Shire, visit 44 hobbit holes, see amazing gardens, hear the secrets and stories about the making of the movies, and enjoy a cold complimentary beverage at the famous Hobbiton pub ‘The Green Dragon Inn’.
- Auckland - Sadly we must start to head north again but your day is not over with a fully guided return trip to Auckland including surprise stops. Depending on weather and timing our guides love doing other surprise stops. Maybe a scenic stop near a lake or the chance to try New Zealand ice creams, we love introducing you to local wildlife and animals. You will have to jump on the tour to see where you go!

Hobbiton Set - The entire Hobbiton experience was really unforgetable. First of, a huge thank you to our very warm, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating transport, Huzefa. Equally good at his job and actually did us a personal favor is Mike as our tour guide.
The ride from pick up and drop off points were on time and were made very educational by Huzefa and Mike sharing really interesting and helpful trivia.
The set itself is nothing short of magical. It feels real and surreal at the same time. You have to experience it yourself.
Overall, we cannot recommend Cheeky Kiwi and the team behind The Hobbiton set enough.

A fairytale experience - This was living in a fairytale.. I’d read all the books & watched all the films with my kids when they were young. Absolutely beautiful! Our tour guy made it so enjoyable! Loved every minute of it!

Go visit Hobbiton, NOW - So our driver, Greg, was amazing. He filled us in on some of the rich history of Auckland as well as the Maori people and even told us the story about how the Bew Zealand national anthem came to be and he sang it for us!!! So honestly I would say that he made the experience for me!
Hobbiton itself was amazing. I had seen the movies but actually being in the small hobbit town and getting the chance to walk in the houses (I had to duck down on account of being about 2 hobbits stacked together lol) was truly a unique experience.
I loved it so much that on the flight back home I watched all 3 Hobbit movies back to back to back lol

Its like stepping into another world - Simon was absolutely fantastic. He kept us entertained the entire trip and made it very memorable.
The tour of Hobbiton was much better than we expected. We did not realize how expansive the set was and we learned so many cool things such as they originally burned down the Green Dragon Inn and only about 4 seconds of it actually made it into the movie. They had completely torn down the entire set after LoTR and had to completely rebuild it for the Hobbit. It took over 2 years to build the set and filming lasted only about 12 days.
It’s all so incredibly interesting. Highly recommend this tour, not just for fans, but for anyone who loves film.
Also, now that you get to tour a fully furnished hobbit home, it’s a must! They let you interact with everything in the homes, sit in the chairs, the beds, the dining table, anywhere you want to snap a photo.

On time, interesting driver and great tour - Van was on time for pick up and driver did a nice job keeping to schedule. Simon was relaxed and had a good sense of humor but also very careful and expert driver. Movie set tour was excellent. Hobbiton is definitely worth the visit. The hobbit community was much larger and more detailed than expected. Setting is lovely. Gift shop is best skipped. Nothing worth the cost.
