• Hobbiton Movie Set - Upon arrival at the first main attraction, ‘Hobbiton,’ board one of the large green Hobbiton buses for a two and a half hour fully guided tour of this incredible 12-acre movie set. A professional Hobbiton guide will ensure a memorable visit. During the tour, explore the lush pastures of the Shire, visit 44 hobbit holes, admire stunning gardens, learn secrets and stories about the movie-making process, and enjoy a complimentary cold beverage at the renowned Hobbiton pub, ‘The Green Dragon Inn.’

* Maintenance & restoration construction at Hobbiton is scheduled to start on 01 June 2025, with major works concluding in September 2025. During this time, construction and maintenance equipment and noise will be present. Tours will proceed as usual but will follow an alternate route around the construction area, offering a glimpse into the efforts to maintain the magical appearance of the Hobbiton Movie Set as seen in the films.

• Karapiro - This picturesque lake is home to one of New Zealand’s first hydro dams and is the origin of some of the country’s great rowers. With viewpoints offering stunning views across the lake and countryside, it is an ideal spot for a quick break and some photos.
• Otorohanga - Leaving Hobbiton and heading towards Waitomo, pass through more scenic wonders, including racehorse breeding areas, rivers, and lakes before entering Otorohanga, known as “The Kiwiana capital of New Zealand.” Experience all things Kiwi while passing through this unique and charming town.
• Waitomo Glowworm Caves - Upon arrival at the second main attraction, be guided through the ancient and awe-inspiring caves, observing various cave formations such as Stalactites, Stalagmites, and Lime Columns before descending further underground for the Glowworm experience. Board the glowworm boat for a cruise on the grotto river, with thousands of Glowworms sparkling above.
