Relax in our luxurious sprinter van as we wind our way through the city’s points of interest and into the Waitakere ranges towards the famous Piha. Stopping often for only the most scenic lookouts and short walks along the way.

Upon arrival at Piha, we observe the severe flood damage as we venture onto the wild black sand beach. Carefully walk between the towering cliffs to find the hidden track through the native forest where we navigate the massive cave tunnel to Taniwha bay.

If we are lucky, deep inside a cave at the end of Taniwha bay we can find Penguins and sometimes large Seals in the torchlight.

Lunch options available from the local Piha cafe.

This outing encompasses meticulously chosen vistas and strolls from the heart of the city extending all the way to the untamed beaches of Piha with its dark, sandy shoreline via the Waitakere ranges.

Our meeting point is The Pantry Cafe located in Auckland’s Viaduct basin.

Starting with a city tour where we visit places including; Auckland Domain, Harbour Bridge, the Auckland Museum structure, Noteworthy streets, Historical landmarks and obviously, a walk around the rim of Mt Eden volcano’s crater.

Indulge in the comfort of our plush Mercedes Sprinter van as we navigate through the hills heading towards the renowned Piha, pausing at the picturesque lookouts and short strolls throughout the journey.

Upon reaching Piha, we trek amidst the soaring cliffs to uncover concealed paths amid the native woodland. We cautiously explore the gigantic caves and marine passageways enveloping the surroundings.

Deep within a cavern at the terminus of Taniwha bay, we may discover Penguins and at times, large Seals under the beam of our torches.

Lunch alternatives are obtainable from the regional Piha cafe.

Provided are wholesome refreshments and surplus water.

Great intro to Auckland and beach areas - Lewis is passionate about his area, he has great knowledge and is considerate of all guests and patient with their requests. Happy to answer questions and gave insightfull info of all areas. Was a great intro to the Auckland area and beach areas. Easy to find meeting point especially for cruise guests. Would use him again

Lovely walks/hikes with stunning views - Great day trip with Louis! It was a great revised intinerary due to the floods. Full of short drives to beautiful scenic areas, great walks/hikes and a knowledgeable area guide.
