Absolutely enormous ! - This is a very interesting tour. Enter in through Gate 3 to check in. Tours are 75 mins and you are on the go the whole time, there is so much to see. We had Malcolm as our tour guide, a member for over 50 years so he had so many stories to share. We got to explore all over, the underneath area which is like its own city. You go all the way up to the member lounges and boxes. There is 125,000 members. With this cap there is 200,000 on the wait list and people sign up their babies so they can become a member by the time they are 30. You can book online or turn up. Check out the Melbourne visitor guide as there maybe a discount coupon. There is also a shop if you want merchandise. Anyway this is a must do tour, very enjoyable.

A Palace of Sport - I am a sports fan. I love sports of all kinds. While I get most excited about my own countries teams in the USA, I decided to book a tour of the MCG with my wife. I was overjoyed touring the stadium and being in the palace of sport. The history alone is something every sport fan should experience. Very few venues have this kind of history and this kind of diversity of use over the past 100 years and more. We got onto the pitch, in locker rooms, press box, and up to the top of the building for amazing views. Take the time to go and then do what we did after, buy a ticket to the next AFL game if your in town. We loved it!!!!

Fantastic tour, a must for any sports fan. - The MCG is one of the few genuinely iconic sports stadiums in the world and getting to take a look behind the scenes at this huge ground was a real privilege even though I’m not a particularly huge cricket fan. We were lucky enough to be part of a small tour group and to have a superb guide (Peter) whose passion for both cricket and Aussie Rules football was infectious. The tour includes a look at the changing rooms and hospitality areas as well as the chance to visit The Long Room and see the statue of Sir Donald Bradman. Peter was so chatty and hospitable that the tour was extended by an additional 15 mins. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful tour with... - Wonderful tour with exceptional guide. MCG is a beautiful facility with rich history. The field was being converted for AFL season so we were able to get some insights into that process

Great tour - The guide made this a totally great tour. Like all tours, it's reliant on getting a top notch guide. We had one.

Like your cricket, the MCG is a must see! - Even for someone who is not really into cricket or cricket grounds, I found this tour interesting and informative. Our guide Carole was knowledgeable and answered our many questions in a personal way rather than a rehearsed script way. We were shown the changing rooms, media centre, members area and lots more. If you are interested in cricket then this is a must see.

An excellent trip, seeing... - An excellent trip, seeing places that would not normally be possible. A very knowledgeable guide, but we did struggle to hear him at times.

Not the old stadium - Not as good as I was expecting. No access to real changing rooms. There is always something going on at these places that prevents access. It’s more centred around AFL rather than cricket

Good tour marred by the guide “Carol” - It’s a good tour of an iconic sports ground, but our guide “Carol” was clearly in a rush and hurried us around as quickly as she could. Any opportunity for questions were met with curt and rude responses. The venue itself gets a 4, but she gets a zero, hence my score. So if you can avoid this extremely unpleasant guide, then go on the tour. Do make sure you leave enough time for the museum too

Awful guide, not worth the time spent. - It was boring, no anecdotes or interesting info about matches of players was given. Just description of the stadium. The tour guide was able to interact with only other Australians or British people. There were a lot of Indians like me and there was zero acknowledgement of other cricketing nations. For this old guide it appeared that Cricket was still a white man's game with other nations as mere interlopers. It was ridiculously boring. Do not go.
