A Must-Do Walking Tour - This was the best walking tour we have ever taken! Zoe was amazing in providing us a historical perspective that had so many heartwarming and interesting stories that linked the history of Atlanta and Civil Rights from 100 years ago to the present. It was easy to listen and learn so much by the way she presented it all. Definitely great edutainment Zoe! Highly recommend!

Great High-Level Overview - Stand Alone Tour and Pair with other sites for more in depth experience - Great high-level overview of both Dr Martin Luther King, Jr.’s life and legacy along with the greater context of Civil Rights in Atlanta. I learned a lot! Choose this tour if you only have half a day for the MLK portion of your trip or pair it with more time in the King Center, Visitor Center and the Ranger talks if you have more time. Joy was our Tour Guide and she was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging.

Fantastic MLK Jr historic district tour - We had a great Saturday morning tour of the MLK Jr. historic district in Atlanta's Old Fourth Ward. Our guide, Kristin, was extremely knowledgable and clearly felt very connected to the history of the area and its relation to the civil rights movement. We covered a lot of ground (literally) in the 2.5 hour tour but our 11 and 9 year-olds had no trouble keeping up. Thanks to Kristin and Unexpected Atlanta -- we will be back for more tours!

Good experience - The tour was definitely excellent - it was nostalgic to visit the footsteps of Martin Luther King Jr But I am refraining from giving it a 5 star because the guide Christine should learn time management better. The tour description mentioned spending 20 minutes in the historic centre but in reality we were offered 0 minutes and I had to skip part of the tour lecture in order to rush through the historic centre just because I didn't want to miss it at any cost.
