Great Experience - This was a great trip! The pick up point was close to our hotel near the Acropolis Museum and easy to find. This was my first time in Greece. The bus was nice and comfortable and the guide was very knowledgeable. He talked most of the hr drive to describe what we were passing and the history. When we got to the site, he was very clear on meeting point and times. When we entered the site, he spoke for a little bit about the history of the area and temple, then left us to walk around and take our own pictures. It was a great experience. While we were still in Greece, I recommend the trip to a couple of people we meet there. When we got home, I also recommend it to our other family members who travel alot. The pictures we got are outstanding!

A tour to remember! - A tour to remember! The best way to discover the Cape Sounion and visit the Temple of Poseidon. We were picked up on time from the pick up point and enjoyed great views on the drive along the Athens Riviera. Our guide was really knowledgeable and friendly. She brought the history alive and provided us with many interesting stories and archeological details. This excursion was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it.

Excellent! - We booked this excursion after having to cancel a similar one due to timing. Everything from start to finish was well-dine. Katerina was an excellent guide; she told us about the area as we were driving along the coast, as well as some history and stories of Ancient Greek mythology. She set reasonable time expectations as well, so that the group kept moving along as planned. Cape Sounion and the Temple of Zeus are not to be missed. Both are stunning and the history behind both is very interesting. Katerina told us about the building of the temple, about Poseidon, and some of the highlights from history. The drive along the “Greek Riviera” is just incredible, with gorgeous views at every turn. We were so glad we booked this trip. Our driver and guide were exceptional.

Worth a visit - Wonderful views both while driving and on place. Very comfortable buses, its are orange color. As it can be very windy up there it is advisable to bring some warmer clothes with you. The best time to visit is to get there for sunset. It is possible to join the group on the way after Athens. To do this you need to look at where are the bus stops elsewhere and and raise your hand to stop bus. Nearby is a beach for swimming. Check out or ask the return bus times.

Beautiful Site - Great experience. Teddy was funny and informative the entire ride. Got to see the beach, a beautiful lake, and of course the Temple. Went as a solo traveller and had a great time with my group!

Poor information and misleading trip info - We booked this tour as a Sunset Tour at Temple of Poseidon, only to get there on the Sunday and find out they don’t do Sunset tours that one day of the week. Myself and my adult daughter went anyway, as we were keen to see the Temple and find out about its history. We had a ~90min bus ride there, so assumed our guide Anastasia would give us background as to the mythology of Poseidon, why the Temple was built etc. She was largely silent for most of the trip, aside from telling us the names of suburbs we passed through on the way and pointing out private beaches that only wealthy people could attend! When we arrived at the Temple, it was very impressive and we did get some info then from her as to the construction and importance of guarding the port into Athens. Disappointed we didn’t get more Greek history/mythology and no sunset, but the Temple was amazing.

NOT a sunset tour - Important: this is NOT a sunset tour! They changed the pick up to be almost an hour earlier (2pm) and when we arrived at the Temple we we’re given a 10 minute history talk before being told to be back on the bus in 45 mins, so the sunset happened whilst we were sitting in traffic on the outskirts of Athens. The tour guide was friendly and informative on the bus, but the tour was miss sold and I would recommend making sure you go at sunset.

Okay - It was alright. I would give 3 and a half stars if I could. Great way to see some amazing scenery. You spend an hour on the site, which is plenty, as it's not a big site. The views there are amazing and the temple was interesting. But, I think it was a little expensive overall. Do it if you really want to see the temple, which is impressive. Otherwise, it's probably not worth it.
