Easy to book and excellent communication with the company - Booking was so easy with Orange Travel. Michaela sent us prices, availability and photos on WhatsApp prior to travelling to crete. She came to our hotel 1st thing in the morning for payment and to give us our voucher. Lovely lady! The actual trip was beautiful and there was a very informative guide on the bus who spoke German and English. We then decided to book another trip so I messaged Michaela directly and she replied immediately. We booked the private trip to amazonas zoo which we are going on tomorrow. Thankyou for all your help Michaela, we have had a fantastic holiday.

Good - We did an excursion with Orange to Spinalonga. The coach turned up promptly and was clean and tidy. We had two tour guides as the coach was made up of 3 different nationalities. The only frustration to this was hearing the same thing 3 times over. The guides were informative and friendly. The food stop we had was good and overall good value. There was a few people complaining that Orange had told them or it is in the literature an entry fee of €7 applies to Spinalonga where infact it is now €20. We was told this by our booking agent however just be mindful there is out of date books in circulation

Good tour - We booked this day trip for our stay at the start of June. We really enjoyed Spinalonga, it does get quite busy so we did wander off from the guide to do our own thing and avoid the crowds and got to explore the island for a bit longer. I had thought I'd read there was a veggie option for the food supplied, I may be incorrect but there was only meat available upon arrival back at Elounda which was a shame. The cafe also requires everyone to purchase at least one drink - this didn't bother us but should be noted as I don't think this was stated when we booked. Elounda was lovely to walk around and we also really enjoyed Agios Nikolaos. The olive oil factory felt like a school trip as upon arrival they played videos to everyone. We would have loved more time in Spinalonga or Agios Nikolaos and it felt like a lot squeezed into one day on and off a bus. This is just our personal preference, although we still did enjoy the tour. The tour guide was fluent in a few languages which was great for the variety of persons on the tour. However, I would say she didn't seem super friendly or personable. This is a good tour, however, I'd say there are other tours that don't include the olive oil factory which would be better if you wanted to avoid school trip vibes.

Trees in 3 different languages..... - Tour guides commentary.... she kept banging on about every type of tree on the island for the whole trip. The lunch provided was premade gyros kept warm and all of them smothered in tzatziki no good if you are allergic to milk & cream so we had to wander off to buy our own lunch

Overcrowded but great locations - Hotel pick up was great. Was told 40 mim coach but it was an hour and 15. Elsa was our tour guide. She was very informative and really impressed us at spinalonga with her knowledge. Would really recommend visiting. What we didn't expect was the hidden charge to arrive on the island to then be asked to pay another 8 euros pp, when we were told it was included. It was also total chaos trying to get a ticket as a few boat loads of tourists arrived at once. Our boat was also packed which we didn't enjoy. The island itself was great though. We enjoyed Elounda and the next place we visited, both amazing and would recommend a visit. Particularly the second place. Then we went to the olive factory. This is free to enter and was included as part of the trip. It was great to listen to the owner. Unfortunately when we went to try the olive oil, the heaps of tourists also visiting as part of the trip who didn't listen to the tour were busy using all the cups to try the olive oil, so when we went to try with a few others, which we were told was included as part of the trip, we couldn't. That was disappointing. Overall the places and tour guides were great. There were however far too many people on the tour, which combined with other tours at the same time, meant it was quite chaotic at times. Our bus was also that full a couple of people had to stand (but that was because a couple of people would take up two seats, who eventually moved).

Bad travel guide - The trip was beautiful and well-organized, but the guide Eva should either retire or consider a career change, as she has nothing in common with what a guide should be. The information provided by Eva was vague and difficult to understand.
