Knossos Palace and a taste of Crete - An early start for us in Gouves, lots of pickups on route. Very well planned though and Maria was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable! Our particular tour was English, French and German so lots of information. Really enjoyed our day. Includes a lunch stop - which is chargeable. Tip - bring Cash for the monastery! :-) Would recommend

Nice trip - We spent really nice day in bounds of such big group. The coutryside is amazing in any case. Only it is a pity the cave was closed. The palace is amazing place too. Not so crowded as I supposed. But we enjoyed archeological place near Malia much more for its crudeness.

EXCELLENT STAY - Family trip. We made several excursions with the agency of Kokkini Hani and it was wonderful! Gordana the lady of the agency is a great person who loves her job and her island. I recommend you to visit her to take with them the excursions of your choice she will guide you and moreover the Award is very Attractive compared to the hotels. Infinite thanks to Gordana and Orange Travel for their very well organized visits. Mme Feraud Gwendoline

A great taste of culture and history - The service was very friendly and the guide was very adept at handling multiple languages. The areas contained a nice variety of stops to buy souvenirs and all the places were filled with rich history and culture.

Very much experienced, a little too little time at the individual stations - We found the day very informative, but unfortunately the time at the individual stations was a bit short. This made the oil and wine tasting feel like speed dating. We would book the trip again.

Not for me - Wish they had told us more about the steep incline to Zeus cave and the walk up the hillside was quiet horrendous The inside of the cave was slippy as it had rained the day before They even had poor donkeys to ride on up the hill and back We then went to the traditional potters factory and I asked to use the toilet from the main shop and it was totally disgusting

All felt very rushed - Firstly we could not hear the guide, Maria, on the coach. When someone else mentioned this they were told to move further up the coach to near where we were sitting, of course this person could still not hear her. The sound system on the coach clearly needs updating. But we also had to strain to hear her at the monastery and pottery place. The point of the trip was to visit the monastery and the Greek Mythology Park. We had so little free time in each of these places. 7 minutes at the monastery and 30 mins at the mythology park. The audio tour for the mythology park was 1hr long, so there was no way we were going to complete in 30mins. We then went on to the Pottery & Olive Oil factory - which essentially was 2 large gift shops. We had an hour here - the majority of the group were back at the coach 20mins early, commenting on the lack of time spent at the monastery and mythology park and then having an hour to spend money in these gift shops. Would love to go back to the monastery and mythology park and actually have the time to enjoy them. Lunch was lovely and cannot fault. We thankfully did not book for the onward trip to Knossos palace.

Bustle and poor communication of the guide - We booked for Tour Lasithi and Knossos. The respected stations, the scenery were great, no question but it was pure rushing. In Mythology Park and in Knossos we had 1h stay. You can't. The tour guide was Maria. It could hardly be understood because of the acoustics on the broken bus. In addition, everything would be translated into 3 languages. Therefore, in the evening our heads were buzzing. It's a shame. I would have hoped for more.

Poor pre-information - Neither the Orange Rep in the shop or the booklet mentioned that Zeus’ Cave included a 20minute uphill hike (it was 34°) or 200 steps down into the cave until the guide mentioned on the coach. We are in our 60s. Obviously there is likely to be some walk and some steps to see a cave but this should have been outlined when booking. We had a drink in a café instead and if we’d known would have done the other Knossos trip.
