Great day trip from Athens - Our driver, Nikos, was so kind. The van was very comfortable, and he gave us cold waters throughout the day. He was knowledgeable, and talked to us about things while we drove. The only thing that could’ve made this better would have been having him, or another guide, walk with us at Delphi to explain it and guide us. I recommend setting that up. The museum is ok alone, but the ruins really need a guide of some kind.

Thermopylae and Delphi Tour - Based on previous reviews and now our experience, we were fortunate to have Alex as our driver-guide for LS Tours and Transfer’s private tour to Thermopylae and Delphi. Alex provided excellent service by being punctual with our hotel pickup, providing useful information and comments, and being most accommodating. It has been my life-time dream (and at the top of my bucket list) to visit the Thermopylae battlefield area as I’m a third generation namesake of Leonidas. Though the name sometimes has presented conversation challenges, the visit confirmed to us the King’s character and leadership as reflected in history as well as the movie “300”. (Come and Take It) Though the landscape has apparently substantially changed, the museum video helps visualize the battle; in addition, the exhibits and Alex’s informative comments were more than sufficient to make this the highlight of our trip to Greece ( even though others may not be as enthusiastic). The drive to Delhi through the mountains was comfortable and offered the opportunity to see some different Greece scenery. The Delphi archeological site together with the museum were also very interesting and informative. The site (terrain) could be a challenge especially if climbing to the upper region -site of a stadium ( with an unusual design—lengthy instead of wide). Alex gave a pre-visit prep to include information about the Temple of Apollo and the oracle Pythia who occupied the site giving predictions to many including Alexander the Great. On the return trip, Alex again showed his professionalism by assisting me in confirming necessary documentation needed for our scheduled tour the next day when contacted by the tour operator. Most appreciative. Delphi is apparently the second most visited site in Greece; though lengthy ( about 6 hours driving), Alex and LS Tours makes it comfortable and most enjoyable and informative.

Ancient ruins in the mountains! - We had a wonderful day on this tour! Our guide, Nikos, is a great driver/guide! We learned a lot from him and enjoyed the conversation on the drives from place to place. The scenery along the way was beautiful!
We started out visiting Thermopylae. There is an information center where we learned about the famous battle. From there, we drove through the mountains to Delphi. The archeological site at Delphi is very impressive and goes up the hillside. We also spent time st the museum there to see the artifacts. We enjoyed a great traditional Greek lunch at a restaurant with a beautiful view of the valley. We stopped to see Arachova and then headed back to Athens. This tour was a highlight of our trip to Greece!

Great way to see Delphi - We had an awesome time on this tour with Alex. Alex was proactive with his communication, prompt to pick us up, and super friendly and informative throughout the tour. We did a lot of research before booking this tour, and in the end, we were glad that we planned to see Delphi like this. Having a private driver gave us more flexibility and a more tailored tour than a big bus tour. Also, if you are debating day trips from Athens, we would say Corinth and Delphi (this tour) are the musts if you like history! It's almost unbelievable to see a civilization that has such deep history - very memorable experience!

Chris is amazing! - Our driver and guide, Chris, was absolutely incredible! He was highly communicative and kept us well-informed about Greek mythology throughout the journey to the site. Chris went above and beyond to keep us entertained—he even made a stop at the hot spring and treated us to some freshly picked local fruits. The lunch spot he chose was fantastic too. Everything about this trip was seamless and enjoyable!

Alex was great - Alex provided excellent service in all aspects of the tour. He provided topical insight and informative dialogue. Alex arranged an excellent table for lunch in a great restaurant in Delphi. The food and drink were the very good and the view was very impressive at a reasonable cost. I highly recommend Alex and LS Tours and Transfers. We had a great time!

Amazing Trip and Incredible Guide - We booked the day trip to Thermopylae and Delphi from Athens for myself and my daughter. Our driver and guide, Alex, was absolutely amazing. This was our second trip with Alex as our tour guide (the first was the Corinth Day trip from Athens) and with each booking Alex went well above and beyond what was required. He was very very knowledgeable about the areas all along the trip to each location and the locations themselves. He was very personable and we really enjoyed talking with him and getting to know him. He was a great driver also, which for a long trip is a plus. He made reservations for us in Delphi for lunch and we had the most incredible view of the mountains and valley below. The vehicle was very clean and nice as well. I would highly recommend this company, this particular tour, and while I am sure all guide are equally as fantastic as Alex, I would highly recommend requesting Alex as your guide. 5 STARS.

Delphi a must visit. Skip Thermopylae - The trip to Thermophylae alone is 2 hours so I had a lot of expectations from this section of this trip. What you get is a simple statue and a marker in the hill were supposedly "a battle" took place, that's it! You have to imagine the pass since supposedly the sea has receded farther away. Search for this on youtube and call it a pass on this one.
Delphi on the other hand was something else. This is definitely worth visiting. We arrived early at 9:30 am so it wasn't crowded yet. But in a matter of a few minutes, the tour groups started coming in and was crowded by around 10:30 am.
