Time well spent! Definitely worth a visit! - Boutique, small gem, museum, right in the centre of Athens. Every minute of the visit, well spent! Impressive collection, great gift shop, friendly staff. We bought a gift for friends and the sales employee spent a lot of time to make sure it would be correctly/safely packaged for air travel. Nice area of Athens, time well spent.

What an amazing place…. - The Cycladic Museum is a must see during your visit to Athens. We were fortunate to be on an organised trip and given a tour by the curator, very knowledgeable young lady me passionate about the subject. All the items well displayed with English and Greek descriptions. Stunning exhibits and a spectacular permanent collection housed in exceptional buildingsi. The Cylcadic also has a superb gift shop and wonderful restaurant.

A must in Athens - Special exhibition “Women of the Cyclades”. Didactically well done, excellent exhibits. Of course, the permanent exhibition is also worthwhile!

Great small museum - Excellent small museum featuring ancient artwork from the Cyclades, dating from 4-5000 years ago (before the Minoans and Mycenaeans). The floor with Cycladic material is captivating and there is an audio guide accessible using the museum’s free wifi. Excellent cafe and a very good (but expensive) shop.

Enjoyed the upper floor the most - This museum has three floors and we started on the top floor and worked our way down. The top floor had excellent exhibits with each item identified with a photo along with a description. On the second floor, each item was identified by a number with corresponding descriptions in numeric order. On the lowest floor, items were again identified by a number but the corresponding descriptions were haphazard and in no particular order. There were many interesting artifacts (mainly pottery) on display as well as the white Cycladic female figurines. The exhibits were well lit and all descriptions were in Greek and English. We spent 90 minutes here but you could spend even longer if you take the time to read all of the detailed explanations of the different periods of civilization in the area.

Cute. - Pretty. Although the name refers to Cycladic art, there is actually only one floor dedicated to Cycladic art, while the others also deal with other periods. Visitable in an hour, without fossilization. Ticket purchased online on its website. In March 2025 the full ticket costs 18€, reduced 14€ (for students, people between 19 and 25 years, people over 65, holders of the card of the Chamber of Fine Arts and for groups of more than 12 people). It's free for "Cycladic friends" (meaning boh), people under 18, people with disabilities and those accompanying them, unemployed Greeks (very nice thing), students of history and archaeology, Employees of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sport, holders of free entrance passes issued by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sport, members of ICOM and members of ICOMOS, journalists and qualified tour guides. Close to the War Museum, the Byzantine Museum and Aristotle's Lyceum, which I recommend visiting on the same day if you plan to see them. The nearest metro is line 3, the blue one, with the Evangelismos stop.

Correct, but expensive - A museum that is not very educational. Which is pretty expensive. It is better to visit public museums, with much more beautiful collections.

Museum to avoid - Anecdotal collection, little things in the windows where you don't see much because of the reflections. Cycladic art amounts to a single primitive sculpture in different sizes. Frankly, seeing that in a picture is more than enough. And it costs 18 euros, 3 times the price of admission to the Archaeological Museum of Athens where you can see a vast and sumptuous collection well exposed. Catch tourists
