  • Athens - We will depart from the city and travel along Attica’s western coast. After covering a distance of approximately 80km, we will pause to admire the Corinth Canal.
  • Corinth Canal - This canal, completed between 1880 and 1893, is one of Greece’s earliest significant engineering feats, revolutionizing transportation by connecting the Ionian and Aegean Seas for maritime travel.
  • Ancient Corinth (Archaia Korinthos) - Our subsequent destination is the quaint town of Ancient Corinth, where you’ll have the opportunity to explore its remarkable archaeological site.
  • Ancient Corinth (Archaia Korinthos) - The archaeological site features several notable structures, including:
    Temple of Apollo: a prime example of early Doric temple architecture in the Peloponnese and mainland Greece.
    Bema of Saint Paul (Roman Forum): traditionally recognized as the location where Saint Paul, also known as the Apostle of the Nations, was put on trial. The Bema is a prominent elevated platform situated in the heart of the Roman Forum of ancient Corinth, from which city officials would address the populace.
    Archaeological Museum: this museum exhibits an extensive array of relics from the local archaeological site and surrounding areas. These artifacts, which have been systematically excavated since 1896 by the Corinth Excavations, provide a comprehensive insight into the history of Ancient Corinth under Greek, Roman, and Byzantine dominion.
  • Acrocorinth - The Acrocorinth serves as the ancient city’s acropolis and is a classic representation of castle construction through various historical periods. It was the fortified stronghold of ancient and medieval Corinth. At the summit of Acrocorinth, you’ll find the Temple of Aphrodite, the city’s guardian goddess.
  • Heraion (Sanctuary of Hera) in Perachora - Our journey will continue towards the Heraion at Perachora.
  • Heraion (Sanctuary of Hera) in Perachora - Situated a mere two kilometers from the Lake of Vouliagmeni (Heraion), beneath a picturesque lighthouse, is the archaeological site of Heraion. This sanctuary was devoted to the goddess Hera and features a temple with a distinctive design. Additionally, the site includes remnants of various other structures such as an L-shaped stoa, a substantial cistern, banquet halls, and possible remains of a second temple.
  • Limni Vouliagmeni - Nestled within a natural pine forest is one of Greece’s most stunning lagoons. Experience the serene environment, sandy shores, and the translucent, shallow azure waters. Enjoy the local seafood and exquisite Mediterranean cuisine at nearby taverns and restaurants, engage in water sports and other activities, all set against a picturesque backdrop that’s sure to captivate you. This idyllic spot is ideal for a relaxing lunch.
  • Athens - Our return journey will lead us back to Athens.
