The roots of democracy, physics, astronomy, ethics, and myriad other practical sciences can be traced back to philosophy, with philosophers held in high regard as the pioneers of intellectual thought. In a private walking tour spanning four hours, you will gain a wealth of knowledge about noted philosophers ranging from Thales of Miletus to eminent figures like Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. You’ll also explore the persona of Diogenes of Sinope, the Cynic philosopher best known for his sharp retort to Alexander the Great’s offer of favor when he said, “Stand out of my sunlight”.
Along the journey, you will familiarize yourself with the vital myths of the ancient Greek world, including the intriguing tale behind the birth of Goddess Athena and the various narratives surrounding the playful god, Hermes.

The best tour! - Bianca was absolutely amaaaaazing!! She was super kind accommodating a scheduling issue we had with Viator and she made our first taste of Athens and Greece an absolute dream!! I don’t hunk I would enjoy any tour as much as a I enjoyed Bianca’s!! She was extremely knowledgeable and brought complex philosophical concepts to a clear level of understanding for my tween kids, who enjoyed tremendously her tour and explanations. She was kind, fun, knowledgeable, generous, flexible, super smart…. Absolutely book a tour with her, I would do it over and over again!!

A “MUST DO” tour of Athens with a fantastic tour guide, Bianca! - We just had the MOST wonderful tour with Bianca!!! Her enthusiasm, knowledge, and heart made our experience exceptional! We loved learning about the ancient Greek philosophers and thinking like them as we walked in their footsteps throughout the ancient area of Athens. Bianca’s love for philosophy was contagious and her explanations regarding Greek history, mythology, and culture were fascinating! We could not have asked for a better introduction to the city of Athens!!! When you come to Athens, taking this tour with Bianca as your guide is a must!!!

Our Walking Philosophy Tour with Bianca was fantastic! - My wife and I enjoyed several hours with Bianca on our walking philosophy tour which focused on Socrates, Plato and Aristotle. Very leisurely walking. More than their teachings, Bianca brought these men to life by discussing what impact their distinct personal lives may have had on their development of thought. Really great! Thank you so much Bianca - this was a real highlight of our trip to Athens!

Great tour - Guide was very knowledgeable and we had some good discussions on the pre-socratics , Socrates, Plato and Aristotle. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking to learn more about the history of Athens and philosophy

Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, and my amazing guide, Bianca! - This was the highlight of my trip to Athens! Bianca was like spending a morning with my best Athenian local friend. Great experience! - Bianca was an excellent guide. I really enjoyed the tour. Bianca is very knowledgeable and a good storyteller. Additionally even though my wife is not as strongly interested in philosophy as me she also greatly enjoyed the tour.

Unforgettable Philosophical & Mythological Tour of Athens with Bianca - If you're looking for a tour that goes beyond sightseeing and truly brings ancient Athens to life, Bianca is the guide you need. We took a private philosophical-mythological walking tour with her, and it was one of the highlights of our entire trip.
Bianca is not only a licensed guide but also a trained philosopher, with a master’s degree and deep expertise in Greek philosophy and culture. Her knowledge is impressive, but what really sets her apart is her ability to make complex ideas come alive through engaging stories, clear explanations, and a warm, charismatic presence.
She has a rare gift for adapting her approach to different people. I have a background in philosophy; my partner does not—yet she managed to fully engage us both. He was drawn in by her clear, vivid storytelling; I appreciated the thoughtful, in-depth discussions she offered. She brought Socrates, Plato, and others to life, not just as names from history, but as real people in their cultural and personal context.
Bianca doesn’t just guide you through Athens—she invites you into the soul of the 5th century BCE. Absolutely recommended for anyone curious about Greek thought, mythology, or the deeper stories behind the stones.

Greek philosophy made interesting, relevant and useful) - Bianca was an incredible guide and so knowledgeable about Greek philosophers. She spoke with true enthusiasm about how they led their lives, how their various philosophies developed in the geo-political environment of their time and drew us in with real life examples and clever questions. It felt more like a conversation than a tour. The pacing was perfect It was one of the best guided experiences we’ve ever had. She personalized it and shared her own perspectives and asked about ours. I recommend this tour and especially Bianca. You will come away knowing much more about Greek philosophers. Most importantly though, you may realize that Greek philosophy isn’t abstract and distant, but really helps us understand how to best question ourselves and live our lives every day.
