Great tour - This was the three day tour from Athens to Meteora including Delphi on the way back. Pick up from Athens worked well, large coach which stopped in lovely seaside town for a break on the way to Meteora. Hotel in Meteora (budget) was fine with great breakfast. Sunset tour guide was just four in a minibus. The guide was great and very informative. The following day we did a hike, again just 4 of us, which was great fun and the guide Chris was fantastic, we learned a lot about nature as well as the history of the monasteries. The following day four of us went in a minibus to Delphi, stopping at Thermopylae on the way. Delphi is in a beautiful area and is very interesting. The tour included a public bus ticket back to Athens and all worked like clockwork with this too. The tour was very worthwhile to see a different part of Greece and two world heritage sites and doing it this way, as it was so well organised, made it very pleasurable and worry free.

Highlight of Greece - This was the highlight of our trip to Greece. I found the communication to be excellent with a detailed itinerary sent a couple of weeks from the tour, along with some optional activity ideas. The one point I'd make is the tour bus in Athens departed across the road from the area indicated in the instructions. I'm not sure if this is usual but other bus drivers were directing people across the road and the bus was obviously for our company so it wasn't too hard to find. The accommodation that they arranged for us was absolutely beautiful, with stunning views of the monoliths, a comfortable bed and close to both the town and a walking trail. We did the sunset tour on the first afternoon and the hiking tour the next morning, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The hiking tour was not overly difficult. In the afternoon we booked the sunset hermit caves hiking tour which was a bit more physical but a real highlight for us. On the third morning we hiked to Holy Trinity Monastery from the path near our accommodation and then went to the Natural History Museum with its interesting mushroom display. I could have easily done an extra day for via ferrata and/or mountain biking. All in all, it was well worth the visit.

We did the 3 day, 2 nights from Athens to Meteora and Delphi - The trip was really well organised and totally met our expectations. The only hiccup was that the bus from Athens was on the opposite side of the road than indicated in the information i.e. on the same side as the Everest Cafe not opposite. It has Visit Meteora and its logo on the side of the bus, so is easy to spot. Also, get there early to get a good seat. On the way back they drop you at the bus station in Delphi that is run by the cafe next door. They store your luggage and tell you where to catch the bus from. We would really recommend this trip.

3 day tour - Everything was excellent all guides and transfers worked very well. The only suggestion was the start getting to the right bus was confusing. If a master list for the 3 buses would have been available vs running between buses to find which one had your name would have been better. After that have thing was excellent.

Meteora at its finest - Khris was our guide during the hiking experience in Meteora and he was great. He kept everyone engaged and made the whole experience so fun, felt like a small family by the end of the tour and it was thanks to him. Would highly recommend him as your guide

OK hotel, shower was a minus, views spectacular - The hotel was OK- a little dated, but really amazing views. It was a climb out of the village so if you're on foot like we were it could get a little old walking back and forth to town. The one thing I really did not like was the shower - it was one of those that basically is a tub with an inadequate glass panel that lets water get all over the floor. Honestly if I'd known about the "shower" I wouldn't have stayed there. This brings up another complaint I have- the company we booked with-Visit Meteora- gave you three options for hotels based on price but you don't get to see the specific hotel so I didn't know anything about the hotel until we rolled up to it. This is a review of the hotel though- all in all it was fine mainly because it was in Meteora and amazing and unique area.

A fabulous 1 1/2 day trip that was stretched unnecessarily to 3 days - After the first day and a half, the last day and a half was all unexpectedly free time. The bus to and from Meteora was a half day each way. There was a sunset tour on day 1. We chose the morning hike on day 2. Then there was nothing till we were picked up at 5 pm on day 3, to return to Athens. The tours were outstanding. The hotel was lovely, and welcoming. But we felt that paying for the second hotel night and having nothing to do, was a waste of money. To be fair, after we enquired twice about the (lack of) activities on day 3, they did offer us a morning bus tour. See below for the specifics of this tour. Day 1 No Wifi on the bus. Apparently the guy forgot the device, in Athens. Bus seats had handles on the back and reclined so far that it was difficult to read my phone. A book, which is larger, or my e-reader, would be even worse. The driver didn't speak much English, so there was no travel info/stories as we travelled. But he did make a few comments as we travelled - ex Lamia City is the centre of Greece. We were dropped at our hotel around 1 pm. Checked in by 1:30. Room wasn't ready till 2:30. We were picked up at 3 pm for the sunset tour. No lunch stop. But there was a bathroom stop at about 10:30 am. Miguelas did our tour guiding for the sunset hike. Very knowledgeable and approachable. Bottle of water provided. Day 2 - hike in the morning. Chris was our guide and he was excellent. He set a good pace, with lots of stops and explanations. 8:30-12:30 Bottle of water provided. - free afternoon Day 3: Hotel pickup at 5 pm. We were picked up with about 8 other people in a minibus and taken to a truck stop to wait for the 2 big busses, to go to Athens. No wifi on bus on the way home at first. It said I was connected, but then wouldn't connect. It sporadically connected. Late re on the trip. Poor communication. People on the bus seemed to have been together because the guy reminded them they could pre-order dinner at our 45 minute stop. But we hadn’t been told that, and he didn't explain anything more to us new people. He didn't mention about wifi but there was an info sheet in the bus seat. He was nice when we got back to Athens, and turned the wifi back on after the bus stopped, so I could finish requesting an Uber. The tour operator got back to us promptly except when I asked pointed questions about the itinerary. (Two different times.)
