Authentic Greek food - Elena was a fantastic guide and host. She was extremely knowledgeable and gave us very interesting information. It is worthwhile walking through historic Athens and taste authentic Greek food.

Do This Tour Soon - An incredible tour…much more than food. Our wonderful guide, Andreas, provided in depth background of the development of each neighborhood, Athens and Greece. All gave us an understanding of not only the food but how it and the culture evolved.

Great tour, amazing guide. - Our guide for the food tour was Elizabeth (English version of her name). She was amazing. Very informative, very friendly and just great to be with. Our tour was small, which was also great. We did an informative walk through several neighborhoods, had Greek coffee and pastries, bread and olive oil and learned all about olive oil, a walk through the open meat market, lunch at an outdoor restaurant and ended with a pastry desert. Elizabeth made this tour very enjoyable with her knowledge and friendly disposition. She even gave us her number if we had questions about other tours or places to go in Greece. We highly recommend this tour. It is a great way to get to know the neighborhoods.

Well done Elissavet! - Elissavet was an excellent guide. She knew both historical information and a lot about food. She was sensitive to dietary concerns in our group and found something for everyone at each site. The tour starts out with small food amounts, but builds. You will have had plenty to eat by the end! Well done!

Excellent food tour with Andreas - Fantastic experience. Really enjoyed the tour with Andreas where you get to know about Athens and a bit of its history while having a wide variety of sweet and savory delicacies. Highly recommend this tour.

A great first activity in Athens. - Elissavet was a delightful and knowledgeable guide. We did this tour on our first day in Athens and it was a wonderful way to get acquainted with local food as well as culture and history. We sampled many delicious local delicacies…much more food than I expected. My favorite stops were the Greek coffee and the mastika flavored cookies (a new flavor for me). Highly recommend this tour!

Excellent overview of Greek food culture - We were lucky that a “small group “ tour was just the two of us but doubtlessly Elenie would have coped just as well with a full group; thanks for running it for two. Took us to a variety of authentic food outlets several of which we return during our week in Athens. This really opened our eyes to Greek food and to the business new and more established that are leading the way in rebuilding the Greek economy

Deliciously Greek - We had a wonderful morning with Elisabeth sampling delicious Greek food’s & learning interesting snippets of information about Athens & its history & modern Greek life. Elisabeth provided authentic Greek experiences we would not have found ourselves e.g., Greek coffee brewed in traditional manner, mastica flavoured almond macaron & more. There was plenty to eat & a good balance of sweet & savoury dishes. I would highly recommend. Elisabeth was a knowledgeable & delightful guide.
