- Makrygianni - Our Private tour takes 3-Hours which is roughly split into 80 Minutes at the Acropolis and associated Temples, Theaters and buildings, and 80 Minutes at the Acropolis Museum.
MEETING OUR GUIDE. Your guide will be waiting at the ‘Acropoli’ Metro Station at street level which is located at 7 Makrygianni Street, and close to the Acropolis Museum
Our meeting spot provides an ideal perspective from which to view the surrounding wall of the Acropolis built by the earlier Mycenean Civilization and to provide you with an introduction to the History of the Acropolis, its importance and role in the life of ancient Greece, and an overview of the temples & amazing monuments you are about to see.
If choosing the ‘CITY TOUR LUXURY VEHICLE’ option, return transfers are included so we will be at your Hotel or Cruise ship terminal to meet you.

There are multiple scheduling options which exclude the Museum: ACROPOLIS ONLY, for a concentrated 2-hour professional tour of the site; ACROPOLIS & ANCIENT AGORA, for an amalgamated 3-hour tour of the Acropolis and Ancient Agora; CITY TOUR LUXURY VEHICLE, for a 4-hour urban tour of the broader Highlights, inclusive of return transfers from the Cruise Ship Port or central Athens Hotel.
- ADMISSION TICKETS: Please note that admission is not included. Tickets for some dates and time slots can be in heavy demand so we kindly request that you turn up for your tour with appropriate tickets; either having bought these yourself, or having asked us to buy these on your behalf. Otherwise we are not responsible for any delays. If you need us to purchase Skip-the-line Tickets for you, just let us know by message after booking.
- REDUCED MOBILITY. We want all our guests to fully enjoy their tour in the most comfortable way possible. If you have reduced mobility or can only walk for short distances, we request that you let us know after booking since there are various measures we can put in place to reduce the time you spend on your feet.
- WHEELCHAIR USERS. For wheelchair users it is necessary to have an able-bodied person accompanying. Please let us know after booking as there are various measures we can take to make the tour most easy. It is also possible to extend your tour time on request. If choosing our City Tour Option with Transfers included by vehicle, please let us know. Our vehicles can accommodate folding wheelchairs only and are not fully equipped for disabled use.

Excellent Guide! - Our guide was amazing. She was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We learned so much about Ancient Greece and the Acropolis. We highly recommend getting a licensed expert to guide you around. You will learn so much more!

Recommend this tour. So many languages available - Our guide was fantastic. We met her (unfortunately I forgot her name) early in the morning near the Acropolis. Tickets are not included and should be purchased before getting there. Warm Penguin will send you a reminder as to what entry time they should be and they also offer to purchase them for you with reimbursement to the guide. We see the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum within the 3-hour time limit. We probably could have spent a lot more time there but there are also big crowds so we were glad that we got there early. Absolutely recommend booking with Warm Penguin. They have excellent customer service and knowledgeable guides. We had a German speaking guide. She took a lot of photos of us during the tour and took her time explaining things.

The best tour we’ve ever had! - Maria was a very good tour guide. She was able to make adjustments to avoid the big crowds and still made sure we didn’t skip anything. Her knowledge and passion were on full display as we asked her all kinds of questions regarding the history and mythology. If I could rate higher than 5, I would. This was a wonderful experience and we are super happy!

Feel like you have the acropolis all to yourself - The Acropolis was amazing and so was our tour guide! She knew just where to go to avoid all the crowds and make the experience feel truly private!

Great service and excellent guide. - We are very satisfied with this tour. The booking was easy and the price was reasonable.
Our guide Dora was lovely and made our tour special. She was knowledgeable and very relaxed and accommodating. We had little child with us which at times was challenging but she was very relaxed and helpful.
I would highly recommend this tour and Dora for anyone.

Wonderful morning spent in Athens! - Amazing tour! Our guide Betty was an absolute expert! Very friendly, arrived on time and was wonderful. She knew the best ways to enter and exit every attraction. She also knew the best places to take photos. She was extremely knowledgeable and was wonderful at helping both our 19 year old son and 7 year old daughter enjoy the history of the sites. We would love to book more tours with this company when we come back! Highly recommend for anyone coming to Athens!
