Great trip - Very good trip to do if you don’t have so much time to spend in Egypt. Very organized and kind tour guide. The food of the boat is not amazing but the crew is nice. The Abu Simbel tour wasn’t very pleasant since the guide that we had was from the site he barely explained the history and it was Caotic I didn’t understand anything he was saying. Adding to that every time we didn’t have our tour guide it was a bit messy. In Egypt you have to give tips but the amount of money for tips wasn’t mentioned till when we got to the boat. It’s good to pay beforehand so than later u don’t need to think about it .

Very Good cruise experience - Thank you to our guide Khaled, he took care of everything in a very kind way. The boat could improve food in general, apart from one night that we had great egyptian food.

Great experience! - Was such a nice trip that exceeded my expectations. Khalid was very professional and helpful and he did everything to give us a good time. The ship was clean, well maintained and the rooms were comfortable and spacious. I would recommend this trip if you want to make the most of your time.

Nile cruise - nice view - I think the view was amassing. The Room is good and they have incredible food and their crew are super nice. I recommend to be on time then you can do more.

The Nile Cruise allows... - The Nile Cruise allows you to have a full package: You have food, tour guide to all the most important monuments and temples , transfer from and to station/airport. Cabins are clean and with all the essential furnitures and needs. It is possible to know people from all the world. Tickets and tips to the crew are not included.

Good experience with some minor irritants - We booked a cruise with Go Tours Egypt online, and were assigned the boat named "King of Egypt". The boat was nice and clean, though not as luxurious as some of the other boats we saw there. Our cabin was smaller than we expected (it was a triple room, so had to fit three beds in the same space), but was well maintained. The owner of the tour agency, Mr. Mohamed, was super helpful. Even before we embarked on the cruise, he would promptly reply to all the queries we emailed to them. Our assigned guide, Mr. Talaat Abdo, was friendly and very knowledgeable. He could communicate in reasonably good English, and would give us lot of information and stories related to the places we visited. He ensured that we started on time everyday, and would not rush us, he would give us enough time to explore the places by ourselves. However, beyond his actual work, he would sometimes not be very cooperative. On couple of occasions, when we needed assistance, he would simply shrug and say he cannot help us! We had to keep getting back to Mr. Mohamed to solve the problems (which he did every time). Two sore points that I would like to mention: 1. The food: Our package had all meals included - breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had specifically asked for vegetarian food, as we do not eat any type of meat. We were assured that all meals will have vegetarian options. While that was not incorrect, the vegetarian "options" usually consisted only of boiled vegetables of different kinds (boiled potatoes, boiled carrots, etc.). There was veg soup on offer, though mostly bland. We had to make do with eating bread and plain rice for all meals. 2. The tips: Throughout our trip to Egypt, we hardly came across anyone asking for tips (despite reading online that tipping culture is all pervasive). It was only on this cruise that we were practically forced to shell out a substantial tip (22 USD per person), that too at the beginning of the cruise! Shouldn't the decision of whether and how much to tip depend on the quality of service received? And at the end of trip we were told that the tip we had given did not include one for our guide, Mr. Talaat. We had to give him a separate tip (in a sealed envelop in "his hands"). Having said that, I must point out that the staff of the cruise (especially in the restaurant) was very friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this cruise to others.
