- Centro Storico di Assisi - The walking tour of Assisi begins with a meeting to explore its ancient Roman ruins. Participants will visit the remnants of the local Roman Amphitheatre and the stunning Minerva Temple, known for having one of Italy’s best-preserved facades.
During the tour, visitors will also enjoy the ambiance of a medieval Italian hilltown by exploring local handicraft shops (pottery, carvings, embroidery, etc.) and strolling through charming narrow alleys. The highlight of the tour is the Basilica of Saint Francis, featuring magnificent frescoes by Giotto (13th - 14th century), one of Italy’s most significant medieval artists.
After a lunch break (not included), the tour continues to Perugia, another authentic Umbrian hilltown. As the capital of Umbria, Perugia is rich in charm and history. With a private guide, participants will walk along the city wall from the Etruscan era, admire the symbols carved by Nicola and Giovanni Pisano into the Fontana Maggiore, and be captivated by the many layers of the Rocca Paolina.

- Basilica Papale e Sacro Convento di San Francesco d’Assisi - The Temple of Minerva is an ancient Roman structure that currently houses the church of Santa Maria sopra Minerva, built in 1539 and renovated in Baroque style in the 17th century.
The temple was constructed in the 1st century by Gnaeus Caesius and Titus Caesius Priscus, two of the city’s quattuorviri, who also funded the construction.
- Santa Maria sopra Minerva - The Temple of Minerva is an ancient Roman structure that currently houses the church of Santa Maria sopra Minerva, built in 1539 and renovated in Baroque style in the 17th century.

- Basilica di Santa Chiara - The Basilica of Saint Clare is a church dedicated to and containing the remains of Saint Clare of Assisi, a follower of Saint Francis of Assisi and founder of the Order of Poor Ladies, now known as the Order of Saint Clare.
- Rocca Paolina - The Rocca Paolina, or Paolina Fortress, is located in the historical center of Perugia. Visitors can enter through a door at Porta Marzia or use the escalator system connecting Piazza Italia with Piazza Partigiani.
- Fontana Maggiore - The upper marble basin features twelve sides divided into twenty-four smooth panels of pink Assisi stone. Each panel is separated by white Carrara marble statuettes set on ledges between the panels. Some figures represent historical and legendary figures of the city, while others are symbolic.
- Arco Etrusco - The Etruscan monumental arch (3rd century B.C.), oriented north, is part of the first city walls. Standing 11 meters high and in excellent preservation, it is considered the most impressive of all ancient Etruria.
- Duomo - The Cathedral of St. Lawrence is situated in the historical center of Perugia on Piazza IV Novembre, with its southern façade facing the square.
An early church dedicated to the proto-martyr Lawrence, who died in Rome in 258, was built here in the 9th century atop the old Etruscan-Roman forum of the city. No trace of the original building remains.

- A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements
- Please notice: on Sundays, big Catholic holidays and National holidays, guided tours inside the Basilica of St. Francis ar forbidden. You guide will explain to you the church from outside, and you will enter alone on silence.
- Due to the exposition of the remains of St. Francis, guided tours of the basilica will be suspended from February 15, 2026, to April 6, 2026. The guide will provide an explanation from outside, and then visitors will be able to enter on their own.
