Best part of our Italian visit! - I wish more travelers would open their minds to visiting Abruzzo and learning about Italian life and history outside of the major tourist destinations. I hope we can all be responsible travelers and respect smaller towns like Abruzzo and not ruin it, but this was easily my favorite part of the our trip. I travelled with my mother, and as two women traveling alone we found Fabio to be very professional, respectful, and courteous. He has great attention to detail and worked very hard to make sure we enjoyed our trip. Moreover, his passion for his home country and Abruzzo itself is apparent. He’s not a guide who operates tours in large cities where he doesn’t have a personal connection to the area. We both thank him for his time and for making our first Italian visit truly memorable.

Fabulous! - I am so grateful that I found and got a day trip from Rome to Abruzzo guided by Fabio! He accommodated and coordinated literally everything I needed and beyond as a solo traveler. Abruzzo he showed me was very fascinating and peaceful. He was super knowledgeable and passionate all about Abruzzo and the history of Italy. That made every phenomenal scenery even more magical. Hiking and the view of Campo Imperatore, very authentic lunch (bbq) at Ristoro Mucciante, charming medieval villages of Rocca Calascio and Santo Stefano di Sessanio where local people know each other, welcoming everyone. Magnificent sceneries all the way during driving. This tour was definitely unforgettable and striking, touched by Fabio’s sincere hospitality and magical Abruzzo!

Great getaway from Rome to beautiful Abruzzo with a wonderful guide - If I could rate this tour higher I would. Fabio was great and the tour was exactly the kind of side trip we needed from Rome. The Abruzzo region is beautiful and the mountains are such a refreshing change from the crowds and heat of the city. The pick up and drive is also easy with great communication. We had three experiences within the tour that were each amazing. The Gran Sasso park and Arrosticini with wine and regional specialities was exceptional and so much fun. We then went to the highest Castel in Italy and the short hike and views were unmatched. Last we saw a medieval town with a Medicean home and tower. The perfect way to end the day before a nice drive back to Rome. I would recommend this tour to everyone and will do it again. Fabio has a passion for the Abruzzo region and we can see why. It was a a vacation from my vacation.

Breathtaking Views, Incredible Food, and Hidden Gems – Unmissable Day Trip! - This tour with Fabio was hands-down one of the most memorable experiences of our time in Italy. If you’re in Rome and want to explore beyond the city, this is the day trip to book. The highlight for us was the incredible mountain landscape of Campo Imperatore—endless skies, open meadows, and fresh alpine air that felt like another world. Fabio brought us to Ristoro Mucciante, where we grilled our own lunch: tender arrosticini, fresh sausages, pancetta, rustic bread, pecorino cheese, local salami, and delicious house-pickled artichokes and eggplant, all paired with rich red wine. Every bite was bursting with flavor and authenticity. We also visited a nearby castle with sweeping views of the surrounding mountains, and strolled through a charming medieval town filled with quiet stone alleys, flower-boxed windows, and stories from centuries past. It was like stepping into a postcard. Fabio made the entire day seamless and full of meaning. He’s warm, passionate, and deeply knowledgeable about the region—exactly the kind of guide who turns a good tour into an unforgettable one. Don’t miss this experience. It’s the perfect mix of nature, food, history, and true Italian charm. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best birthday ever! - I spent my birthday with my family in Abruzzo, and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate. At first, I was mostly drawn by the idea of lunch at Ristoro Mucciante, I mean, who wouldn’t want to BBQ their own meat in the middle of the Gran Sasso National Park? But the day turned out to be so much more than just a great meal. The landscapes were breathtaking, and the vibe was so peaceful and wild. We also visited Rocca Calascio and Santo Stefano di Sessanio. Both were absolutely stunning and full of charm. Great food, amazing views, and time with my favorite people. Definitely a birthday to remember!

Abruzzo bello! - What a beautiful region Abruzzo is! I wanted to discover it just as I wanted to explore the nature around Rome… I wasn’t expecting such a wild and beautiful place! The trip was smooth, and the guide was very attentive throughout the entire experience.

Abruzzo stole my heart. - I had no idea what to expect from Abruzzo, but this tour turned out to be one of the highlights of my time in Italy. What really stood out to me wasn’t just the scenery (which is amazing, by the way), but the feeling of stepping into a slower, more genuine side of Italian life. One of my favorite moments? Lunch with a view of the mountains, with no rush to go anywhere. Pure bliss. If you're into authentic experiences, small details, and places that aren’t crowded with tourists, this is the tour for you. Thank you Fabio!

Best trip ever! - I truly believe this tour will become famous, as it has all the qualities to do so. It starts with Fabio, a genuine local who showed us the beauty of his land. Abruzzo is wild and authentic, exactly what we were looking for after spending many days in crowded, touristy cities. Food was delicious, cooked in the middle of the National Park of Gran Sasso.

Lovely, Unique, Memorable day trip from Rome - My cousin and I went on this trip in hopes to connect to our roots because our ancestors were from the Abruzzo region. This tour was absolutely amazing! With three stops one in the national parks, one with a short hike to a castle and one through a small village. Fabio is so personable and very nice. It ended up being just me and my cousin (two young women) who booked the tour for that day and we felt very safe and comfortable with Fabio as our guide. We also stopped for delicious food in the mountains which was a memorable experience! I have been to many countries and have done many day trips and this has to be one of my favorites! The car ride is enjoyable and Fabio is a safe driver. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a unique day trip from Rome. This trip shows the natural beautify of Italy!
