Exclusive to the Summer Period (May through October)

Embark on a stroll through Aspen’s West End, characterized by its Victorian style, and traverse along the natural trail systems that link to the Roaring Fork River. The tale of Aspen unfolds through the lens of both Victorian and contemporary architectonic elements, underpinned by the town’s deep-rooted ties to the environment.

The total journey stretches around 1.5 miles incorporating mild inclines and declines. Although the larger part of the walk predominantly occurs on paved ground, some segments lead along irregular natural paths. It is advised that attendees possess a fair level of physical health and fitness.

  • Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately

  • This tour is a 1.5 mile walk with some elevation changes. Participants should be able to walk long distances regularly.

Amazing tour! - Dean was a fantastic tour guide, super knowledgeable and friendly with plenty of fascinating facts about the town! I ended up renting an e bike and exploring the Rio grande trail on Dean’s suggestion (I was going to walk it) and had the BEST time ever! Super grateful for his advice. Thanks so much! 😁 I fully recommend this tour to anyone visiting aspen

Expanding your appreciation of Aspen! - I’ve been coming to Aspen for over a decade and saw areas I’ve never see. The architectural history was so interesting. Dean was great! Perfect was to start a Sunday.

Awesome tour right in Aspen! - Awesome tour. Dean incorporated the history and architecture styles of the homes into the tour. Dean is very knowledgeable of Aspen, plus he answered all our questions. The our took us a few blocks off Main Street, it was fabulous to see the Roaring Fork River, Hallam Lake and John Denver Sanctuary. Just a beautiful walk! We enjoyed it so much that we signed up for the Aspen East End hike the next day!

Awesome Tour! - My husband and I did a tour in Aspen Co. with Dean . The tour was called Off the Beaten Path Tour. It was awesome! Dean told us about the history of Aspen and different Architecture looks in Aspen . Just a couple blocks off Main Street we walked dish to Hallam Lake and then walked along Roaring Fork River. Dean was extremely knowledgeable about the area and answered all are questions. We then walked over to John Denver Sanctuary. Wow that was fabulous. This was an excellent tour. So insightful. Highly recommend it.
