Additional Information

While the comparison to the “Bavarian Nice” may seem a bit exaggerated, it is undeniable that this cozy small town possesses qualities similar to the renowned French Riviera city. This includes an enchanting riverside walkway, and verdant parks and gardens. Combine this with a stunning red-gold sandstone castle and a selection of pubs and fine dining establishments, and Aschaffenburg emerges as an unforgettable spot.

Enjoy a leisurely exploration of all the key sights in this captivating cultural city. Useful insights into attractions such as the St. Peter and Alexander’s Abbey, the Theater Square with its impressive large sundial created by Christian Tobin, the Municipal Theater, and the Sand Church will be shared during your tour. The nearby Johannisburg Palace offers intriguing stories, with a look behind its walls revealing the Capuchin Monastery. We also ensure a visit to the Pompejanum, a reproduction of a Roman villa in Pompeii that was constructed under the reign of King Ludwig I.
