Highlights
  • Roxborough Park - Looking for a half-day activity for couples that gets you back to nature? This tour will take you to one of our favorite natural areas near Denver and will get you off the beaten path to experience Colorado like a local. Lose yourself in one of the front range’s most beautiful sandstone landscapes - the fountain formation - and learn about the geology, flora, fauna, and natural history from a professional naturalist guide.

Along the way we’ll keep an eye out for wildlife like bighorn sheep, mule deer, and elk. While enjoying a 1-4 mile hike (this distance can be customized to your liking), we’ll search for birds like Golden Eagle, Bald Eagle, Northern Harrier, Prairie Falcon, Merlin, Northern Shrike, Woodhouse’s Scrub Jay, Canyon Wren, Townsend’s Solitaire, and Spotted Towhee.

A picnic charcuterie board is included to enhance this unique, romantic experience.* Unless arranged otherwise, alcohol is not provided, but feel free to bring your own wine or beer.

*In the winter, during inclement weather, we may need to find a place to eat indoors. In this case, feel free to purchase drinks from the establishment.

6 life birds! - Ryan picked us up at our hotel and proposed a different trip than we had originally asked for as he thought we'd see better birds, and he was right. We had a terrific day birding in the Boulder area, lots of waterbirds and shore birds. HIghlights were an Avocet, Baird's Sandpiper (5! Lifer) four Ferruginous hawks, another lifer, in total 6 life birds that day. I am an avid eastern birders, so even in the west, getting new life birds isn't that easy. Ryan was helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable. He made the day a real pleasure.

Great Birding With Ryan Dibala - Ryan Dibalo is an excellent birder and trip leader or guide. One of the best I have ever used and I have been on many birding trips, close to one every year for the last 10 years. HE knows his birds and he takes you to the places where you can find them. We originally told him some places near our hotel in Lakewood but he knew we would see those birds later when we went to an National Audubon conference at Estes Park so he took us further away to see different possible bird and it was fantastic. He is not only very knowledgeable but great company. You can contact him at Gobirdingman.com.

Fun excursion - Great guide. - My wife and I along with a few friends joined the tour through the recommendation of a fried. I’m not much of a birdwatcher but we signed up as it seemed like a good excursion. Ryan introduced us to so many new mountain birds: Pygmy nuthatch, Townsend’s Solitaire, Clark’s Nutcracker. Ryan even knew where to fond a Northern Pygmy Owl, which is rare! Definitely a memorable experience. Would highly recommend.

Best Colorado Bird Tour - I've been on MANY birding tours in my day and none would I RECOMMEND more HIGHLY than Birding Man Adventures. Ryan is an amazing guide, has tons of knowledge and is one of those rare individuals whose is able to share his passion for a subject in a way that invites genuine engagement. He showed our group a few new species that some of us had never seen before and he knew exactly where to find them. And his knowledge doesn't just stop at birds, he's a student of nature, a naturalist, and he communicates his expertise about the natural world with an endearing level of fluency.

Greater Prairie Chicken Encounter - I was on a quest to see some of the region's mountain and grassland birds. I had planned to be in town for a few days and heard about the Greater Prairie-Chicken courtship rituals on lekking grounds. Not only was Ryan flexible to customize the tour for what I wanted to see, but I was also quite impressed with his knowledge about Colorado's history and enthusiasm for all things nature. After booking this tour, Ryan reached out and provided us with details on what to expect. We drove down to Wray Colorado where we met with a local rancher who gave us a brief history of his land and the Greater Prairie-Chicken lekking grounds. Afterward, we ventured out and saw the courtship of about 30 Greater Prairie Chickens. With all this excitement we grabbed some beer at a local brewery and shared photos we had taken. It was a great day and added to the lifelist! If you're looking for the ultimate birding experience, I highly recommend Ryan and Birding Man Adventures!

An Absolute Blast - Ryan is one of the most gifted naturalists and tour guides I’ve ever met. His excitement for birding, wildlife, and plant ID is infectious. His knowledge of the natural world and Colorado history is impressive. It helps that he knows where the good brews are too. I’ve been on birding and guided tours in 6 countries on 3 continents and this was one of my all time favorites. Cheers.
