Arrival at JRO - Transfer to Arusha

Arusha - Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your driver guide will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your first hotel in Arusha. Along the journey, you’ll encounter numerous fascinating sights, offering a wonderful chance for learning and exploration. If something piques your interest or you wish to learn more about something you see along the way, feel free to ask your driver guide to stop so you can explore further. You’ll arrive at the lodge in time for check-in and a brief rest before dinner.

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park - After breakfast, with your picnic lunch in hand, you’ll head to Tarangire National Park, known as Tanzania’s elephant headquarters. The morning and afternoon are dedicated to exploring this magnificent National Park. You’ll enjoy lunch at one of the picnic sites and continue your game drive in other areas of the park. The park offers rewarding big game viewing, with countless animals to spot, including giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, and lions. The Tarangire River, the park’s main water source, attracts a lot of wildlife. While you might spot leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas, sightings are rare and depend on luck. After the game drive, you’ll proceed to the lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Game enroute Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - After an early breakfast, you’ll depart the lodge at 7:30 for Serengeti National Park, with game viewing en route. The journey takes you through the rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you might encounter wild animals like baboons, vervet monkeys, warthogs, and buffalo. As you enter the Serengeti, you’ll witness Africa’s iconic savannah landscape and the vast number of ungulates roaming the grassy plains. You’ll head straight to camp for check-in and lunch. Afterward, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park. In the evening, return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full Day Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, immerse yourself in the beauty of the Serengeti, one of Africa’s premier wildlife reserves. This full-day adventure is likely to be a highlight of your visit, as the Serengeti’s wonders unfold. Discover the park’s iconic wildlife during the early morning game drive. If interested, you can opt for a balloon safari, which concludes with a champagne breakfast amidst the grasslands. Explore the Serengeti “Kopjes,” massive granite boulders that provide shelter to a diverse array of flora and fauna. Return to the camp for lunch, then head out again for an afternoon game drive around 15:00. As dusk approaches, you’ll return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater - After breakfast, depart with a picnic lunch for Ngorongoro Crater. Explore the wildlife in this self-contained ecosystem. Ngorongoro is a land where wild animals and humans coexist harmoniously. You’ll descend over 600 meters into the crater, a collapsed mountain believed to have eroded millions of years ago. Enjoy a game drive to spot various animals, including endangered black rhinos, lions, buffaloes, elephants, gazelles, warthogs, hippos, zebras, waterbucks, hyenas, jackals, and large flocks of flamingos along Lake Magadi. Have lunch at one of the park’s picnic sites, then continue exploring other areas for more game viewing opportunities. After this thrilling game drive, ascend the crater and drive to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Drive Back to Arusha/ Fly to Zanzibar

Zanzibar Island - After breakfast at the lodge, savor your final moments in Northern Tanzania as you drive back to Arusha. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to visit a school and learn more about education in Tanzania by spending time with teachers and children. Arrive in Arusha in time for lunch at Arusha Coffee Lodge. After lunch, enjoy the SHANGA Tour, a social enterprise that employs people with disabilities to create unique, high-quality handmade jewelry, glassware, and homewares using recycled materials. These products are sold in the Shanga shop in Tanzania and worldwide, with profits reinvested to create more employment opportunities for people with disabilities. After the excursion, you’ll be transferred to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar.
