Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - At 9:00 AM, the guide will pick you up and drive to Tarangire. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the Tarangire gate, where the game drive begins until lunchtime. Enjoy a picnic lunch with lunch boxes served within the park at a scenic picnic site. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which flows year-round. It is renowned for its large elephant herds, majestic baobab trees, diverse wildlife, and rich birdlife, flora, and fauna. The area supports a wide variety of wildlife.
The ecosystem in Tarangire National Park is balanced by a localized migration pattern followed by most of the game in and around the park. Consequently, Tarangire is excellent throughout the year. Elephants are the main attraction, with up to 3,000 in the park during peak months. The peak season also brings large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, buffalo, Thompson’s gazelle, greater and lesser kudu, eland, leopard, and cheetah. Rare sightings include dwarf mongoose, Oryx, and gerenuk. Tarangire is one of Tanzania’s top birding destinations. In the evening, return for dinner and overnight stay, celebrating the day and preparing for the next adventure.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area (Crater Tour)
Ngorongoro Crater - Depart early in the morning from Tarangire National Park to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area is home to over 30,000 protected animals. It is an area of stunning beauty and excellent game viewing, offering a truly unique safari experience in Africa. The Ngorongoro Crater, once a massive volcano, is the largest intact caldera in the world. After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive on the Crater floor, teeming with wildlife. Spot Black rhinos protected within its rim, giant tusked elephants, lions with impressive manes stalking the grasslands, and vibrant pink flamingos crowding the soda lakes. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the picnic site while admiring the Crater rim’s beauty and its abundant wildlife. After lunch, continue the game drive while ascending the crater floor and returning to the lodge for an overnight stay.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - In the morning, drive to Serengeti National Park with a game drive en route towards the Seronera River Valley area. Serengeti National Park, also known as “the endless plains,” is home to the ‘Big Five.’ It is the only park where you can see lions, leopards, buffalo, elephants, and rhinos in the same area. The park offers a variety of landscapes, including plains, lakes, hills, and the rock formations known as kopjes. The main game drive areas in the Serengeti are the Seronera Valley, the Western Corridor, and Lobo or northern Serengeti. The Seronera Valley in central Serengeti has permanent surface water, attracting a large concentration of wildlife year-round. Common animals include lions, buffalo, impalas, hippos, waterbucks, elephants, cheetahs, and leopards. Enjoy afternoon game drives until sunset. The area is famous for its population of cats, especially leopards, cheetahs, and lions, which reside there due to the availability of water and swamps that attract prey.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, with lunch boxes, spend another full day in Serengeti. The park has numerous attractions that you won’t want to miss. Serengeti is the site of one of the most breathtaking events in the animal kingdom, with a variety of animals and stunning plains. In the afternoon, enjoy lunch at a picnic site in the bushes while taking in the views and sounds of different animals and birds. Continue the game drive until sunset, then return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park - After an early breakfast, leave Serengeti National Park and drive to Lake Manyara National Park, with a game drive en route through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Begin a late afternoon game drive. As you approach, the Rift Valley escarpment looms on the horizon, forming an impressive backdrop to the lake. Lake Manyara National Park is famous for its tree-climbing lions. It is also known for the large number of flamingos inhabiting the lake. During the wet season, they gather in flocks of thousands along the lake’s edges, but they are less present during the dry season. Over 400 bird species inhabit the park, with many remaining year-round, making it an excellent spot for bird watching. Visitors can expect to see over 100 different bird species in a day. Many other wild animals inhabit the park and can be seen throughout the year. There is a hippo pond at one end of the park where visitors can safely observe from a distance. Leopards and lions are known to lounge in the trees when not hunting. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, among the tall trees of the groundwater forest, where monkeys leap from branch to branch, and elephants stand in the shade on the escarpment.
