Awesome experience with Jamal - our Safari guide! - Had a great experience at the safari with guide Jamal, after our Kilimanjaro trek! Jamal is extremely knowledgeable about the local wildlife and ecosystems, and we left with a deeper appreciation for the area! We really enjoyed our time at Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater, though Lake Manyara was less impressive (perhaps Kili Heroes may consider swapping this with a different national park :D ). Additionally, on the last day we also spent some time in one of the Maasai villages, which was pretty interesting and eye opening, however I do urge for Kili Heroes to review this part of their tour as we were brought to tour the "school" by the Maasai people and it seemed like the children (who looked restless) were asked to sing songs for us, possibly encouraging us to give money under the guise of "school donations." We have absolutely no issues with making those donations, however it would be better if children weren’t used in what felt like a staged setting. Nonetheless, our experience with Jamal was excellent, he made sure that we were well taken care of throughout the 3 days, and I highly recommend him as your safari guide!
