On the Arusha city tour, participants will gain insights into Tanzania, setting the stage for the journey ahead. In the evening, there will be a briefing on the upcoming tour activities, allowing for preparation for the next day’s adventure.

Arusha to Tarangire

Tarangire National Park - At 8:00 am, guests will be picked up from their hotel, introduced to the guide, and then driven to Tarangire National Park, a two-hour journey. Tarangire boasts the highest concentration of elephants in the country and is famous for its ancient baobab trees! Visitors will have close encounters with these majestic creatures and observe the interactions among different elephant families. During the game drive, the guide will follow reports of animal sightings. The park is teeming with herbivores like zebras, wildebeest, and giraffes, while the more elusive predators include lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Lunch will be enjoyed at the river picnic area, offering a beautiful view of the river and wildlife. Be on the lookout for playful baby baboons and monkeys.

Later, the group will proceed to Karatu for an overnight stay and dinner.

Central Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, the journey continues through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on a six-hour drive to the Serengeti. A brief stop at the gate will allow for a twenty-minute admiration of the stunning crater. By late afternoon, the group will arrive at Seronera, the heart of the Serengeti, where a picnic lunch will be followed by a game drive. In the evening, the game drive will continue to capture the Serengeti sunset and observe wildlife up close, with hopes of witnessing a predator hunt.

The day concludes with dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Northern Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - The day is dedicated to following the wildebeest migration and exploring the vast Serengeti, heading northwest.

The adventure begins with an early morning game drive, followed by a packed picnic lunch after breakfast. The highlight of the drive is the Mara River, where herds of migratory animals may be seen crossing. The game drive will continue until evening, after which the group will return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay, with wildlife visible at the camp.

Northern Serengeti

Serengeti National Park - After an early breakfast, the group will set out for a game drive. Today offers the chance to witness the wildebeest gathering and preparing to cross the Mara River, with hopes of seeing the migration begin! After lunch, the game drive will continue until dusk, followed by a return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Serengeti National Park - Following a leisurely breakfast and early lunch, the journey to Ngorongoro begins. The knowledgeable driver will share insights about the local wildlife and Tanzania’s scenic beauty as the group travels through the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater. The night will be spent on the crater’s edge, with dinner and accommodation provided.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Early risers will be rewarded with breathtaking sunrise views over the crater’s edge. After a hearty breakfast, the group will descend the adventurous track into the crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the Seven Wonders of Africa, features one of the most remarkable ecosystems on Earth, formed millions of years ago by a massive volcanic explosion. The crater, 610m (2,000ft) deep and covering approximately 260km² (100mi²), is home to around 25,000 animals, offering the best game viewing in Tanzania! In minutes, visitors will see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and over 500 bird species. With luck, the endangered black rhino may be spotted. After the game drives in Ngorongoro Crater, the group will return to Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay.

Arusha to Kilimanjaro Airport

Arusha - Today marks the final day of the 8-day tour. After breakfast, guests will be transported to Kilimanjaro International Airport. Alternatively, the trip can be extended with a beach holiday in Zanzibar. The drop-off in Arusha will be at either Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport.
