Mount Meru Hotel - Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO), the group is warmly welcomed by a representative from Altezza Travel and transported to a hotel in Arusha.

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park - Following breakfast (around 7:30 AM), the safari guide will collect you from the hotel. By 10:00 AM, you will arrive at Tarangire to commence your first safari day!

During the dry season, the Tarangire River serves as the sole drinking water source for miles around. Consequently, large elephant herds gather here, making Tarangire home to the largest elephant population in Northern Tanzania for much of the year (particularly June - October and December - March). Elephants are unfazed by park visitors and often approach vehicles closely. This is entirely safe - as elephants have no natural predators, they are naturally inquisitive and fearless.

Tarangire National Park is also celebrated for its ancient baobab trees. These enormous trees are larger and older than any others in continental Africa. The landscape, highlighted by these iconic trees, is truly breathtaking.

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - The legendary Ngorongoro Crater! Here, you will observe tens of thousands of wild animals residing in the vast crater formed by an ancient volcano. The crater is relatively small, considering it hosts the greatest variety of animals per square meter globally! You are guaranteed to see numerous animals in close proximity.

The descent into the crater takes about half an hour of driving, passing through lush forests with stunning views.

After your morning game drive around the crater, you will pause at the picnic area by Lake Magadi for a snack and rest. One of Lake Magadi’s attractions is the hippos inhabiting the area. Watching them while enjoying lunch is a delight. Due to its abundant wildlife and endemic plants, Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, celebrated for its global natural significance.

Serengeti Valley

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, the safari begins with a transfer to the central Serengeti, known as Seronera. Here, your driver will seek out the animals you are most eager to see. Near lunchtime, you can visit the Serengeti Visitor Centre, where a lunchbox will be provided, along with fascinating information about the animal populations and the park’s history. Additionally, you may spot hyraxes, the closest relatives to elephants.

Alternatively, returning to your camp for a quick lunch and nap before resuming the safari at sunset to enjoy the golden hour is recommended.

Serengeti wildlife numbers in thousands: elephants, buffalo, ostriches, giraffes, jackals, hyenas, lions, antelopes, leopards, and cheetahs—keep your eyes open and relish the surrounding nature.

Serengeti Valley

Serengeti National Park - Another day to explore the expansive Serengeti plains! This park is a vast area, teeming with life. It is impossible to see everything in one day; today, your guide will introduce you to new locations and fascinating animals, providing a comprehensive perspective.

The Serengeti is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognized for its vital ecosystem, dense animal population, and the annual Great Migration. Serengeti inspired Disney’s “Lion King” film, but life here is not a cartoon - it is pure, wild, and beautiful.

By dinner, you’ll arrive at your hotel in Arusha to enjoy a delicious meal and cherish the memories of your adventure.
