Often considered as the smaller sibling to Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru deserves your notice. Despite being almost 4000 feet shorter than Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru makes its own mark with its magnificent stature. The majority of our Mount Meru tours are private, as the mountain’s terrain occasionally necessitates groups to gather towards its base.
Day 1: Arusha/Mariakamba Hut
Mount Meru - After breakfast, you will be picked up by our driver from your accommodation in Arusha to Momella Gate via Momella National Park, where you will do all the required pre-climb formalities.
An armed ranger will be by your side as you cross the open grasslands of Momella National Park on your opening day. You will have an amazing experience as you will have an amazing chance and time of spotting wildlife such as giraffes, elephants, monkeys, buffalo, zebra, and much more.
In the afternoon right after lunch, you will begin your hike through a thick rain forest of Mount Meru. Dinner and overnight will be spent at Miriakamba huts.
