Magical trekking and safari - Once in a lifetime experience. Wild Root guides were wonderful. Julius and David, our guides made sure we were safe and well taken care of. The porters and crew were so nice and helpful. Our chef Hudson was the most amazing chef ever. The food was beyond delicious. We could not reach the Kilimanjaro summit without the constant support and encouragement of our guides, porters and crew. After trekking we went for safari which is so amazing. Salim our guide was so knowledgeable and helpful. We saw big 5s and so much more. Totally recommend this company. They are owned by a local and give their business to locals. They are very helpful, supportive and professional.

Amazing Trekking company / wonderful safari - We had an amazing time with Wild Root safari back in February. We did the 8 day Lemosho route and it was amazing. Our guides Julius and David were so professional and knowledgeable. The porters, chef and crew were so friendly and supportive. We couldn’t reach the summit without their support and encouragement. The quality of the equipments ( our tents, sleeping bags,..) were top notch. The food was outstanding and delicious. We also enjoyed the safari after our trekking and it was one in a lifetime experience. Totally recommend this professional and experienced company. They are local people and support the local community as well. We truly enjoy our trip and it wasn’t possible without Wild Root .

Supported in so many ways - We were so happy with our Wild Root Kilimanjaro Trekking Adventure! Our guides were stellar- Kennedy and Noel were knowledgeable and very honest, encouraging and supportive. They work very well together as a team. Both of them were very observant, and good at balancing safety and success. They were really helpful in preparing us day-by-day for each leg of the trek. They got to know us quite quickly, and were able to tailor their guidance accordingly . The support staff were also incredible! A HUGE KUDOS goes to Robert, the camp manager, for keeping everything in perfect order and for making sure all our needs were met. He also joined us to the summit, sharing the duties of holding our packs, along with the guides. Without him, I wouldn’t have made it to the top! I also wouldn’t have made it down, unless he had called on some of our porters to help me out! A special thanks to Michael, Damien, and Richard! The food was great, and Idris, our stomach engineer, catered to our favourites, and to my partner’s multiple food allergies! WOW! Not easy! Everything was always ready for us for our arrival, including the toilet, which was always kept clean! There were no issues with the tent or sleeping mats/bags. Would highly recommend! Especially because they’re a LOCAL company, run by locals versus an American or European outfitter. I like my money going to those who live there and support you!

Kili hike and dance - This Lemosho Route to Uhuru Peak was with my group of 7 friends. The most difficult and highest climb so far for me and with the fantastic guidance and commitment by the guides, our team managed to achieve 100% success. The guides did what I felt the most encouraging was the team singing on the summit day their awesome voice was powerful and boosted our energy, where Elise and I were grasping for air, this was the push factor for us to reach Stellar Point and then to the Summit. Special thanks to big mama, Lucia, David, Mweta, Kenneth, Robert, Richard, Ezekiel and our personal supports Boney, Issac, Joyce, etc. Of course, many thanks too to Matthew for all his assistance and help in making our trip a fantastic experience.

Killimanjaro hike n safari - A very hard slog on summit day but we managed to achieve 100% group success due hugely in part to the 200% support given by Wild Root guides and support staff. Special thanks to big mama, Lucia, my bro David Simba, Popstar Mweta Yanga, true warrior Masai Kenneth, Robert, Richard, Ezekiel and our personal supports Boney, Issac, Joy, etc. Of course, many thanks too to Matthew for all his assistance and help in making our trip a fantastic experience. Followed up with a great Safari experience too ( highlight definitely the Mara river crossing ) with Hussein n Mr Fantastic, who knew where to find the big 5 plus more.

A dream experience - We reached the top of Kilimanjaro with the 6-day Marangu, it was an unforgettable experience and our guides made this experience go from dream to reality. They were extremely professional, but at the same time they reassured us and involved us, we felt part of a family. We feel 100% recommendable

Fantastic experience! Great team! - A fantastic company and fantastic experience! Our 8 day Lemosha trek was worry free thanks to the awesome team at Wild Roots. Our group of 11 was supported by a team of 46 expert guides, porters, chefs led by the one and only Lucia. This was the best trekking experience we have had thus far. The Wild Roots team was professional and knowledgeable. Our summit wouldn’t have been possible without their support. Thank you!!!!

Brilliant, professional and trustworthy. - Wildroots helmed our Kilimanjaro trek with great professionalism, yet, brought in a nice personal touch to the entire experience. Lucia and her team were amazing. They knew exactly what to expect from a motley bunch we were. Catered to each one. On summit night, they brought out the best in each of us. It’s no mean feat that they took 10 of us, all with different levels of fitness, to the top.

Amazing trip all thanks to Wild Root Safari - What an beautiful experience! We did the 7-day Lemosho route and 2 days of safari with Wild Roots. We were 10 hikers, supported by 44 crew members, on Kilimanjaro. We would not have done it without them. The guides were very experienced and helpful. Our safety was their number 1 priority throughout. Great bunch of people. I am very grateful for their support. Every single crew member from the chef to the guy who pitched our tents were very warm and helpful. The one thing that could be improved was the quality of the food during the hike, Also, being a vegetarian, I was not offered an alternative. I ate like the rest, minus the meat. No protein for the 7-day climb was pretty tough, until I asked them for eggs. I got some on the last day. The Serengeti safari was amazing. We saw all the Big 5 except for the Rhino. Serengeti is full of wildlife! The trip went well and a big and heartfelt thank you to Mathew for all the planning and the communication months ahead before the trip started!
