Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

Arusha - Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari driver and transferred to Green Mountain Hotel.

Day 2: Journey from Arusha to Lake Manyara

Lake Manyara - The Tanzanian safari adventure begins at 8:30 AM as you travel from Arusha to Lake Manyara, enjoying a picnic lunch along the way. Enter the stunning Lake Manyara Game Park for the first of six Tanzanian safaris. This charming park, nestled between the Rift Valley escarpment and the expansive Lake Manyara, offers a diverse range of wildlife, including giraffes, elephants, baboons, and the elusive tree-climbing lions.

Day 3: Explore Lake Natron

Lake Manyara - After breakfast at the lodge, head to Lake Natron, a breeding ground for lesser and greater flamingos migrating from Lake Nakuru and Baringo in Kenya. Continue to Lake Natron, passing Maasai villages and wildlife, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge. After lunch and a brief rest, enjoy a walk by the lake, with options for a dip or boat ride, depending on water levels. Walk upstream along the Ngaresero River to the waterfalls, encountering monkeys and baboons. In the afternoon, enjoy a sundowner at Lake Natron. Overnight at Natron Tented Camp.

Day 4: Lake Natron to Serengeti

Lake Natron - After breakfast, take another walk by the lake if desired, then depart for Serengeti National Park. Cross the Loliondo Game Controlled Area, where wildebeest herds migrate around November and December from Masai Mara in Kenya. After registration at Klein’s Gate, embark on a game drive through the vast Serengeti plains, spotting zebras, buffaloes, baboons, topis, impalas, cheetahs, leopards, and the recently reintroduced rhinos.

Day 5: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - A visit to Serengeti National Park is essential for any Tanzanian safari. Begin with a sunrise game drive to witness nocturnal species retiring and diurnal species awakening, followed by breakfast. Spend the day exploring the Serengeti on game drives, returning to the camps in the afternoon.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After breakfast, with packed lunch, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying a game drive en route. Optionally visit Oldupai Gorge, a historical site of early human habitation, and the Maasai boma for a glimpse of traditional African life. After lunch, proceed to the crater rim for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Exploration

Ngorongoro Crater - Start the day early at 7:00 AM for a game drive with a picnic lunch inside the Ngorongoro Crater. With its 2000 ft. high walls, the crater hosts a variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, and numerous bird species. Your Driver/Guide, in contact with other safari drivers, will skillfully locate hidden animals. After exploring the crater, return to your lodge for overnight and dinner at Ellen’s Tree Lodge.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater to Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park - After breakfast, check out of the lodge and head to Tarangire National Park, Tanzania’s third-largest national park. After registration, enjoy a full day of game drives, highlighted by the park’s iconic baobab trees and large elephant herds. Spot rare oryx, zebras, giraffes, warthogs, leopards, and cheetahs. The Tarangire River, the park’s lifeline, attracts wildlife, creating dramatic scenes as predators seize opportunities.

Day 9: Full Day in Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park - After breakfast at the camp, embark on a game drive to observe elephants traveling in family groups, showcasing their extraordinary care for their young. Witness these majestic creatures as they protect their young from approaching vehicles. After a rewarding day of wildlife viewing, transfer to Arusha for an overnight stay at Mvuli Hotel.

Day 10: Departure

Arusha Village Experience - After a hearty breakfast, take time to explore Arusha town before being transferred to the airport for your flight home.
