To the west, the Meru Crater channels the Jekukumia River, with Mount Meru’s peak resting on its rim. In the southeast, the Ngurdoto Crater features grasslands. The shallow, alkaline Momella Lakes in the northeast display varying algal colors and are renowned for their wading birds. In the late evening, you will be driven back to Arusha.
