Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - In the morning, your personal safari guide will pick you up from your Arusha lodgings. The journey to Tarangire National Park takes you across the gently rolling Masai plains, dotted with acacia trees. Along the way, you’ll see many Masai in their vibrant attire, walking, cycling, herding cattle, and driving donkey carts. Tarangire National Park is renowned for its large elephant herds and hosts a variety of other wildlife. From the open roof of the safari jeep, you’ll explore seasonal swamps, savanna, and the life-giving Tarangire River, encountering creatures like zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants, and giraffes. You might even spot lions stalking prey or leopards resting in the trees. After an extensive game drive, you’ll head to one of our luxury partner lodges for a delightful dinner and a spacious room to relax and dream of wild cats.
Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park - After breakfast, your epic safari continues at Lake Manyara National Park. This relatively small but diverse park, located 120km west of Arusha, is named after the shallow salt lake that covers about seventy percent of its surface area. The soda lake, which floods and dries with the seasons, is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species. During your exploration, you’ll encounter monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants, and, with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its varied landscapes, including open grassy plains, primate-filled woodlands, and baobab-dotted cliffs. After another memorable game drive, you’ll leave with lasting images of the African wilds.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, you’ll journey towards the fertile highlands where the Iraqw people cultivate wheat, coffee, and corn. Passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view of the Ngorongoro Crater before continuing to Serengeti National Park, arriving by midday. Serengeti National Park, the largest in Tanzania, spans an impressive 15,000 square kilometers with diverse landscapes such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah, and mountains. Here, the great migration of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes occurs, and depending on the season, you may witness thousands of animals in search of food and water. After an extensive game drive, you’ll head to the Seronera Valley for an evening meal and overnight stay at Lahia Tented Lodge, featuring newly renovated tents on wooden platforms, a beautiful buffet dining tent, musicians, and a fire on the plain.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - This entire day is dedicated to game drives in the Serengeti. Known for its abundant wildlife, including impalas, buffaloes, crocodiles, and hippos, the Serengeti is famous for its great migrating herds of zebras, antelopes, and wildebeests. The animals’ migration is influenced by rainfall and varies annually. From November to December, they move from the northern woodlands and hills to the southern grassy plains. During the longer rainy season from April to June, they return north. Besides the migrating herds, you may also see resident predators like leopards, cheetahs, and lions playing their role in the circle of life. After an unforgettable day, you’ll return to Lahia Tented Lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay on The Endless Plain.
Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After breakfast, you’ll drive from Serengeti National Park to the Ngorongoro Crater. Upon first sight, Ngorongoro Crater resembles a forgotten world. Hidden by steep volcanic walls, it boasts a pristine wilderness with sweeping savannah, acacia woodlands, and shimmering lakes and swamps. The Crater was formed when a large volcano exploded and collapsed two to three million years ago. The descent into the Crater is an adventure itself, and upon reaching the Crater floor, you’ll find yourself amidst large numbers of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 bird species. The Crater offers the best chance to see the endangered black rhino, occasionally spotted in the open grasslands. After a full afternoon in the Crater, you’ll head to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay in Karatu.
Karatu to the Airport
Karatu - You’ll be picked up from your accommodation and driven directly to the airport, marking the end of your epic adventure.
