Anniversary celebration trip of a lifetime - We approached a number of companies with our proposed itinerary and chose Eastco which was 100% the right choice David was patient and helpful (not pushy like some others!) with suggestions for our 8 night Northern Tanzania safari, 2 nights at Boundary Hill Lodge, 1 night at Serena Ngorongoro, 2 nights at Pure Tented Camp central Serengeti and 3 nights Heritage Mara north Serengeti which were a good mix of varied accommodation. Followed by 4 nights at Pongwe Beach Hotel Zanzibar. (All reviewed separately) We had requested Bernard as our guide after reading previous reviews and were not disappointed, his enthusiasm and outstanding knowledge of the different areas, wildlife and birds were second to none, nothing was too much trouble he went out of his way to ensure we had the best experience, we enjoyed many early mornings and evening meals together. We would have no hesitation in the future requesting Bernard as our guide and Eastco to arrange our trip.

First class Safari with EASTCO - With the easing of Covid restrictions, we were looking for a private safari in Tanzania. EASTCO had been highly recommended to us by other keen photographers so after speaking with David King he sent us a proposed itinerary. It was clear David had listened carefully and after a couple of add on’s we had the safari we were hoping for. Our guide and driver was Bernard who worked tirelessly to ensure we got the most from our trip. Unfortunately our arrival flight was delayed by 9hrs but, in order to get us back on schedule, Bernard drove late in to the evening. We arrived at Boundary Hill Lodge at 11:30pm. The lodge staff welcomed us and had prepared a hot meal. The following morning we woke to spectacular views across Tarangire National Park and watched the sunrise from our lodge. After Tarangire, we visited Lake Manyara, Ndutu, the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. We chose to spend all day every day on game drives. Bernard was excellent always calm and good natured, he consistently positioned the vehicle to get the best possible photo opportunities. His spotting skills and knowledge of birds and animals was second to none.

Perfect Safafi. - From the beginning David was quick to respond to my emails and suggested we wait to choose where to stay after we see where the migration will be. Bernard was my guide and was one of the best I have had. I stay at a lodge, tented camp and a private camp all wonderful and different experience. Saw the big five, cheetah, three servals and many more animals. They helped with covid testing. When I go back I will definitely choose EASTCO again.

Amazing 4 days safari - We had our safari trip of a life time ! The 4 days trip was very well organised. We managed to visit Manyara national park, Serengeti and the Ngorongoro crater, plus a Maasai experience in just 4 days. It was a busy schedule but our guide Wilson managed everything super well. Our guide Wilson was amazing, he is incredibly knowledgeable (no question was left unanswered), so friendly and punctual. His eyes are also incredible ! He spotted so many animals (we saw lions at least 5 times, leopard, cheetahs with cups, it was amazing ! ). The whole trip went smooth and was perfect, I would recommend eastco to everyone (and ask for Wilson !).

Customized East African Sightseeing and Safari - My son and I were in East Africa for 19 days, first for a wedding in Kenya, then in Rwanda and Tanzania. Eastco handled all our arrangements once the wedding was completed. We spent a day visiting spots in Nairobi, then went on to Kigali and Volcanoes National Park for a gorilla trek and a golden monkey trek plus additional sites. Then we traveled to Arusha, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti National Park. All our guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and reliable; Gilbert in Rwanda and Wilson in Tanzania were especially good and added immensely to our enjoyment of the entire trip. Eastco handled arrangements for internal flights, meals, lodging, tourist attractions -- everything. Charles at Eastco planned a great itinerary but was also responsive to our suggestions and alterations and was quick to answer our email and WhatsApp messages. We think they did a great job. Special kudos to Gilbert and Wilson who have become our friends!

Amazing Safari! - A family group visit on a 13 night safari with EASTCO. What an amazing experience! Our safari guide, Emmanuel was wonderfully efficient, kind and knowledgeable, making our trip a holiday of a lifetime. The company was helpful and answered all our questions to ensure that the safari was exactly what we wanted. We saw the most incredible animals, including the migration crossing of the wildebeest. We cannot recommend EASTCO (and Emmanuel) more highly.

East African Adventure 16 Day - This was the most amazing trip and can't recommend EastCo enough! After reading tons of reviews and inquiring from several tour companies, and getting prompt responses from Alex, we decided to go with this company. The itinerary they provided coordinated well with our visit to Kenya's elephant orphanage and gorilla trek in Uganda. Doreen met us at an ungodly hour in the Entebbe airport to provide us with necessary gorilla permits. The Mhinga Lodge in Uganda exceeded our expectations- butler, massage, excellent food, service! We had a few flights to navigate, a long drive through Rwanda ( definitely see the Genocide Museum) to eventually get to Kilimanjaro to begin our 6 night Safari. Alex was there to meet us at 2am with some wine and beer and a cheerful attitude. Our 6 night private safari included the Serengeti, Ngorogoro and Tarangere parks with emphasis on the great migration and viewing the Big 5. We were not disappointed even though didn't get to see a rhino. Witnessing the migration of wildebeests was extraordinary. Our driver and guide, Bernard, was amazing- patient, knowledgeable and can spot those birds. What a memorable experience- driving in open air vehicles and viewing nature up close! Food was good, even delicious in some lodges and a packed lunch went with us daily. Ample bottled water supply in vehicle was appreciated. We ended our trip with a 4 day relaxing stay in Zanzibar. Zanzibar Retreat offered some of the best food in Tanzania. So thankful to Alex, David, Bernard and all the other competent, knowledgeable, friendly people along the way who made sure we were well taken care of at every turn. My recommendations - yes, do the Batwa Pygmy tribe cultural experience, gorilla trekking in Uganda $600pp well WORTH IT, Some helpful hints: Yes, feel confident with purchasing Tanzanite stones at Galeria in Arusha, bring lots of dollar bills for tipping, be aware of weight limitations on baggage on intranational flights, hot water when you want it doesn't always happen, the Boundary Hill lodge and staff were amazing! Thanks to EastCo safari for an experience of a lifetime. We hope to be back!

Tanzania northern circuit 6 night safari - unforgettable - My partner and I just finished a 6 night safari with EASTCO, travelling in northern Tanzania. It was a truly amazing experience and I highly recommend EASTCO if you are looking for a local safari operator in Tanzania. If you have the budget I recommend organising a private tour - this gives you flexibility with itinerary and your day to day experience. Our guide Wilson was fantastic - so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, he knew everything about every animal and bird that we came across and was excellent at spotting animals in the long grass or leopards up in the trees, he was also an excellent driver - a plus on the muddy roads of the Serengeti! Paolo was our chef who made beautiful food for us every morning, lunch and dinner. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide & chef for our safari! Some info on our itinerary- Our trip started with a flight into northern Serengeti- a great way to save about 8 hours of travel time plus an amazing opportunity to see the Serengeti from above! We spent the first three days in the Serengeti, two nights in Angata Migration Bologonja Camp and one night at Seronera camp. Angata camp was a nice tented camp, good facilities including toilet and shower in your tent, Seronera was basic camping but clean facilities. The Serengeti was the highlight of the trip, we were lucky enough to witness some of the wilder beast migration - even though the wilder beasts should still be in Kenya at this time of year, changes in climate is brining them back to Tanzania earlier. We also witnessed a lion killing a wilder beast for lunch! On the fourth day we travelled around central Serengeti and then to Ngorongoro crater to stay at Simba campsite that night. This campsite was fairly well maintained, watch out for elephants and zebras when you’re going to the toilet at night! The next day we did game drives around the crater and we lucky enough to spot two rhinos! We when travelled to Migombani campsite that night - we stayed at this camp two nights and it was lovely, very well maintained facilities, lush green grass and a beautiful swimming pool overlooking lake manyara! A perfect place to spend our last two nights on safari. In all I would definitely recommend EASTCO for your safari, you won’t regret it!

5-day safari discovery - lifelong memorable experience - Just came back from dream holidays in Tanzania, part of which was 5-day safari. We chose Eastco as our friends were very happy with the company earlier this year, and we totally agree with their experience. Wilson was a great guide, driver, skilled mechanic, insightful in his commentaries, thoughtful in his approach to people as well as animals, helpful all the time. Can only recommend Eastco as well as Wilson to get a great Tanzanian experience!

The Best Safari Holiday - My wife and I are seasoned travellers... correction seasoned wildlife travellers. We have been on many safari type trips to many parts of the world. They have all been wonderful in different ways, but the Northern Circuit, as it is known, in Tanzania just about tops them all for sheer variety of animals, particularly if you are prepared to look beyond the fabled 'big five'... Yes you will see them a number of times over if you are lucky, although it is getting increasingly difficult with rhinos because of their sad decline due to poaching. But... there is so much more to see if you are a true wildlife lover. The other big 'But' is having planned it correctly with a dedicated wildlife touring company, and ending up with a really good guide. We have done variations of this trip three times now with EASTCO and our Bernard as guide, and the latest trip in February/March this year was truly memorable. As said before, it you are going to spend 10 /12 days or so with one person as a guide / driver, he has to be special, able to communicate well, have that essential encyclopedic knowledge, and in Bernard's case... a good sense of humour. Eyes like a hawk.... goes without saying as well! The tour had been meticulously planned with a good balance of lodges in just the right place, and each day full of surprises as you would hope for.... there was never a day when we didn't say...Wow ! We said after we had planned this trip and before we actually set off.... this would definitely be the last.... but here we are starting to plan our next trip.... with EASTCO of course. Why would we go with anyone else ?
