A full day island tour with a wonderful driver and tour guide - We really enjoyed the one day full island bus tour to Fiskardo and surrounding areas, taking in both of the caves and the wine tasting too. What really made the tour so special was the tour guide "Katerina" whose enthusiasm and love of the island really shone through. During the day we learned everything there was to know about Kefalonia from the weather, to Greek mythology, honey tasting to which beaches to swim from - simply everything. We particularly enjoyed the lunch stop at Fiskardo, one of the most beautiful places you can visit and the boat ride into the Melissani cave. Please tell Katerina what a wonderful guide she is and the driver was excellent too, some of the roads are pretty narrow and scary. Thank you Kefalonia Excursions, we are glad we travelled with you.

The quality of the guide can make the difference between a good trip and an excellent trip - we were lucky to have a fantastic guide in Katerina! Her knowledge and passion for the island shone through and we would definitely recommend this trip!

Excellent day out- Kefalonia Island Tour - Throughly enjoyed every aspect of our island tour. It gave us an opportunity to see many highlights. Our guide Katerina was incredible, so informative and passionate about the island. It was a long day and certain attractions were extremely busy but it’s to be expected in high season. Katerina made everyone comfortable and changed the scheduled itinerary around to avoid the busiest times of the day which ensured maximum enjoyment for her guests.

A good way to see Kefalonia accompanied by a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide - Katarina, our guide, made this a really good tour. She was incredibly enthusiastic and gave us lots of information about Kefalonia and its history. Katarina was very well organised. From the start she asked for attendees preferences on when to do the wine tasting (and moved it to the afternoon) & checked to see that the cave visits didn't coincide with large tours from cruise ships. (If you're visiting tourist sites in Kefalonia independently, it's well worth trying to avoid days when the cruise ships are in). We were a little underwhelmed with the caves compared to those we've seen in other countries. Beware very slippery floor in the Drogorarti cave. The short boat trip around the Mellisani cave is pleasant. The bus tour is a good way of seeing quite a bit of the island, it goes through some spectacular scenery in the national park and around the coast. It's also much easier than driving! Fiscardo is a pretty but very touristy town. It was relatively quiet in September but definitely to be avoided in July and August when it's packed with tourists and very hot. The wine tasting was done at high speed in a thunderstorm! The wine is worth tasting! There's also a short stop at a shop selling local olive oil, honey etc A long day. We were picked up about 9am & dropped off after 6pm. Wear trainers or shoes with good grip for the caves. Recommended as a way to get a sense of the geography, scenery and history of the island.
