Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve - Salinas Lagoon salt lake is part of the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve and It’s home of different kind of birds. At Salinas we can find Andean and Chilean flamingos, Andean goose, Andean avocet, Tamarugo Conebill, Puna plover, Canasteros and hummingbirds, also we can find Queñuas.
Salinas offers spectacular view of Andean panorama making very interesting this journey for travelers looking to get the best pictures of volcanic landscape.
The lake is in the midway between volcan Misti, volcan Ubinas and the snow-covered of Pichu Pichu.
Trekking around this lake, sighting variety of animal life, specially Andean and migratory birds. The hike will take around 2 hours and we will be at 4200 MASL.

Vicuñas and vizcachas, also known as Andean rabbits, can be spotted here and with some fortune, the Andean foxes may also show up. The lagoon is home to three unique species of flamingos not found anywhere else on the planet. These are not the same species found at the renowned ‘Flamingos Lake’ in Africa, specifically in Nakuru and Naivasha, Kenya, which hosts only two species.

Best tour to Salinas - Great excursion to Salinas. We had a picnic time im te middle of this place and It was wonderful. Honorio was the tour guide and he was very professional. We highly recommend to book It
