Early bird misses the crowd - get to the see the amazing islands / beaches off Krabi - We booked the early bird tour which starts at 6am because we wanted to avoid the crowd. We were picked up from our hotel timely - and took 30mins drive to another beach to board our speedboat. There were about 3-4 separate groups (by the same operator), and we were given coloured bands to identify the group. Each group has about 30 pax. There were enough seats for everyone and it did not feel cramped or tight. Our guide was Natty and he gave us relevant information before each island and was good in time keeping - he is quite funny too. We walked a short distance to board the speedboat (with adequate cover from the sun) and then we head towards our first destination which is Tup Island, where we walked on white sandy beaches, and had our breakfast. We were also the first ones there and there were no other boats. Breakfast was “thai donut” (similar with chinese fried fritters), Thai Rice Dessert and some biscuits, hot drinks were served too. After about 30-40 mins, we boarded the board again and headed towards Maya Bay (where Leonardo Decaprio filmed the move THE BEACH). We arrived at Maya Beach and there were some other groups ahead of us, but not too bad. We managed to take a toilet stop and had adequate time to explore the beach, we saw quite a few baby sharks, and took amazing photos. We had about 50 mins here. When we were leaving Maya Bay, we saw HOARDS of tourists and many other boats just arriving and jamming up the pontoon. We were so glad we were ahead of them. It will take a much longer time for so many boats to dock / disembark and get organized, the time on the island will be very limited. We then made our way to the rest of the islands to snorkel. Water quality was mostly clear and we saw many types of fish, but do watch out for the jelly fish. I wore long sleeve top and long pants + beach shoes to snorkel and the jelly fish stung me on my ankles where my skin was a wee bit exposed. I am glad i was mostly protected from the sun and from jellyfish. Beach shoes is a must (i noticed many of the other guests not wearing), because the beaches have stones and corals and you could get cuts if u are not careful. Even if the beach is clear, it is super hot to walk on them in the hot sun, so the beach shoes were super helpful. U can get them cheap from any shop along Ao Nang for about Baht250, or maybe less if you strike a good bargain. Do bring along reef safe sunblock and also a big towel to keep yourself warm - as wind can get quite strong when the speedboat move from island to island …… I appreciated that everyone in our group kept to the time given, and we are all back on the boat on time or early. Because of this, we had more time at each stop. Water and soft drinks were kept in a big box - and everyone could help themselves to it. Watermelon and pineapples were served in between breaks. We had dinner on Poda Island which is our last stop - it was simple Thai food but delicious. Mats were provided if you wish to lounge on the beach. This is one of the last trips i booked as i had booked others (eg night snorkel and mangrove canoe), thinking that it might not be necessary to book this one. However, we are glad we did because we get to get close to the quite a few islands that we otherwise will not get to go to. Snorkelling was fun too.

Fantastic! - The whole trip was so incredibly well managed. Excellent value for money. Our guide was fantastic, especially when he had to deal with a life threatening medical emergency. His professionalism, empathy and kindness was outstanding. Will definitely do this trip again and highly recommend it. You won’t go hungry in this trip either. Amazing experience!!

The trip of our lives - One of the best tours I took in my life. They deliver on everything they promise and more. We had drinks available the entire time to stay hydrated. Natty was our guide and everything was exceptional. A very kind, attentive person who clearly loves his job. I completely recommend that anyone who wants to do the tour of the 4 islands choose this company.

Island hoping - This trip is worth for the 4 island visits, from the sand bank low tide start on what feels like a deserted island to the stunning Maya Bay made famous in the film The Beach to the final stop on the gorgeous Bamboo Island with crystal clear waters. The guide was hilarious & don't be put off by the crowds at 'The Beach' (Maya Bay), it's stunning and worth seeing - head to the right hand end of the beach avoiding the instagramers/vloggers too busy to take in the experience with their eyes. That said as an early bird, beat the crowds tour, I personally found that as the day went on you're not really ahead of anyone, the snorkelling spots are more like traffic jams of boats jostling for space and penned in areas like you'd get in roped off parts of a swimming pool. It's really very hot under the roof of the speedboat with little air flow so stay hydrated (plenty of water on board), many guests looked faint and would recommend doing this trip near the end of your visit when you're more acclimatised to the heat. If you want a more tranquil experience then this is not for you and would probably have a different view if had not done a more tranquil boat experience before this (see my other reviews); but glad I got to see 4 stunning islands and hope this review is more helpful as an objective review and is not intended as criticism.
